Take out Carter and then I can see some of those arguments (don’t agree though). With Carter..(and a second for some reason)…I don’t see it. Just the damage done by moving DDR after a couple dozen games to a bottom feeder could doom so many future opportunities. Players and agencies would remember that…planting the seed that you could move their guy a couple months later and dump him into purgatory…not good. Will come back around to bite.

Moving DeRozan would be a joint decision between both parties so I disagree with your premise.
DeRozan came here because he thought it was his best chance to win. Well…are we winning? No. I think DeRozan would very much be open to being moved to a 16-13 team (who has been missing their best player all season) who needs scoring/offensive help. Oh and on top of all that, LA is his home and I’m sure he’d love to be back home on a winning team to close out his career.
