Keon Ellis has just got to be available. Another game with 5 minutes in a blowout loss. Or they're just trying REALLY hard to showcase Huerter.

I don’t think it’s so smart the Kings have reportedly been chasing to Kuzma for so long but maybe the Bucks facilitate.

Wizards wouldn’t value a role player like Keon Ellis so much is the kernel of the idea.

Amick’s piece the other day specified:

There are some familiar names who appear to be back on their radar, league sources said. Among them: Portland’s Jerami Grant, Utah’s John Collins or Washington’s Jonas Valančiūnas and Kyle Kuzma.

Marc Stein also just wrote about how the ‘Wizards Believed To Be 'Eager' To Trade Kyle Kuzma By Deadline’ too:

Can we all agree he's happy to be here?

I love that we have leaders like Giannis and Dame that are just good humans.

Khris has been really good versus Tatum because he knows his entire move set. MPJ hasn't been able to guard any of them.

MPJ has completely disappeared past round 1 when the competition gets tough. He can't create his own shot.

The absolute disrespect some board posters give midds on his D.I agree with you midds does cover tatum pretty well.TB fair midds is a good D player holds his own against the stars of the league

Later the same day Denver benched MPJ for the 4th quarter and overtime of their comeback win.

I understand that whomever writes these articles probably just plays with trade checker all day but I thought it was interesting as far as perception goes.

Sporting news proposed a deal with Memphis

Middleton, Green, Livingston for Marcus Smart, Santi Aldama, Luke Kennard, ‘26 FRP

Can’t see Middleton fetching all that but I thought the interesting part was the national media perception of Middleton’s value.

I’d simplify it and just do Middleton for Smart and Aldama.

Crazy 3-team trade that probably never happens, but it's legal and I don't think the value is too far off.

MIL Out: Khris, Brook, Bobby, 2031 Top-10 protected 1st
MIL In: Durant, John Konchar, Santi Aldama

PHX Out: KD
PHX In: Brook, Marcus Smart, Jake LaRavia, 2025 Memphis lottery protected-1st, MIL 2031 1st

MEM Out: Smart, Konchar, LaRavia, Aldama, 2025 1st
MEM In: Khris, Bobby

I'd consider this. I don't think Midds is getting moved (for that kind of package), though. He's not the kind of guy you trade when you're in win-now mode. He's the kind of guy you trade for.

Dame splitting part of a play off share is basically the same as me doling out +1s, its a way both of us say keep'em (mopped up floors, good posts, what have you) coming.

The joy is in the giving (+1s).imo

Giannis, Durant and Dame? LOL. LET'S GOOOO!!!!

That's a fun one. Even more fun if we get LaRavia. That's the kind of deal I could see Khris being involved in. It won't be that one, though. :D

I loved that you did this just because this is what other teams offer for Giannis, and think it would be a winning bid.

This offer doesn't even land the players the Suns sent out in the Durant deal, plus they gave up a pick haul.

We can get Aldama without giving up Khris, so no need to give up a huge on court impact guy like Khris for nonconsiquential players like Smart and Kennnard. It would be pretty disappointing to be the sucker who acquires the most overrated player in the League.

If we brought in Aldama, we'd be doing it after a Bobby trade. They're redundant, though Aldama might be better.

Is this supposed to suggest that KD and Giannis are even in the same stratosphere of trade value? Cuz I think getting two starters and two firsts is probably a decent outline for the return on a 36-year old KD at this point.

So one starter is a 36 year old pending FA, who's the other starter? Certainly not Marcus Smart. Do you really think this would be the winning bid? You don't think Phoenix would prefer to get their picks back from Houston, plus a bunch of good young players? Also, why wouldn't Memphis just cut us out of this deal and get KD for themselves?

Despite his age, KD will still fetch a great return.

I have no idea if this would be the "winning bid" but sometimes you guys tend to default too often to the cliche that "X number of teams would simply outbid us", and that's just not how trades work. It's about what other teams are actually willing to trade (see: Lillard trade). Sure, Ishbia likely is hell bent on seeing this current core through until it collapses, but I'll believe you can flip this version of KD for a king's ransom when I see it. He's not that kind of trade asset anymore.

Seriously ugly Kings loss last night at a consequential time.

Read on Twitter

The Ugly
This team’s identity: Unfortunately, there isn’t one, at least a positive one. The identity is a team that loses a lot on its home floor (6-11 at home), is not clutch, lacks consistent focus/effort and largely looks defeated. The Sacramento Kings are currently directionless and don’t appear to have the leadership in place to overcome what is happening.

Mike Brown’s Use of Keon Ellis: 5 minutes in garbage time. Yes, test some offense with Doug McDermott, but if the other team is shooting 58% you need a guy who is going to give it all to slow that down on the floor. (McDermott went 1-4 from the field in 18 minutes.)

T Wolves seem like a prime candidate for a panic trade right now. Any chance we snag Reid or Donte for Bobby?
