The Texas Rangers have agreed to a contract with Joc Pederson, according to sources.
Pederson, 32, spent last season as a designated hitter with the Arizona Diamondbacks but became a free agent last month when he declined his $14 million mutual option.
He hit .275 with 23 home runs and 64 RBIs in 2024.
The left-handed Pederson has played sparingly against left-handed pitching in recent seasons but has been a productive hitter against righties.
