The price might have gone up given the performance of the two teams since the last trade.

Wait wasn't Cam Johnson in this trade and he's currently worth double or 1.5x of Kuminga?

No, it was always Keon. OP didn't make it very clear. He just listed Johnson leaving the Nets but if you look at Golden State's return...

Yeah, maybe cut out the other teams and add Keon Ellis as a cheap defensive guard to the Warriors? Might work in concert with a Fox trade if the Warriors need another asset to do it, with that team (Spurs, Magic, Rockets, whoever it is) providing one along with what the Kings get back.

Looking at the Kings roster, it’s doable. They got enough small contracts like Ellis. Unfortunate that GS extended Moody and made him a poison pill. His salary fits nicely and would allow GS to keep Loon or SloMo

Moody for Demar feels right value-wise, though I kinda like their fit together.

Pistons (or any team with an MLE or trade exception and space under the tax) can make it work:

Kings - Moody + Schroder
Warriors - Demar, Wendell Moore
Pistons - Payton JR, 2nd rounder from SAC

maybe that works in concert with a Fox trade since Schroder is a passable starting PG and the Kings probably don't want to tank. Let's say the Fox trade is Kelden Johnson, Zach Collins and draft picks, just because the Spurs seem to be rumoured as wanting him and that's the first trade I found when googling, it's just an example:

Sabonis - Collins
Keegan - Lyles
Kelden - Moody
Monk - Huerter (Carter)
Schroder - Ellis (Carter)

and the Kings probably draft one of the ballhandling prospects in the 2nd half of the lottery and they get Devin Carter back who projects as a decent 3rd guard. They can still overpay and keep Schroder this summer on a short deal and stay under the tax. And they're up I dunno 2-3 firsts from the Fox deal? It's a step back, but definitely a deeper, better defensive team and a younger one.
Where's the D?

Doubt the Warriors are looking to include Schroder. He fills a huge need as I think they've given up on the Loss as primary PG idea.

From the Wizards' perspective, saving cap space has virtually no value. The Wizards already project to have $30+ in cap room next year without many prominent youngish free agents to spend it on. Getting to $50M in cap room will just mean they will have to overpay someone to get up to the cap floor.

I'm totally in favor of moving Kuzma, but I'd be looking for a return based mostly on pick capital, even if it means taking on bad money in the process.
