Utah gets: Scary Terry, right for Jazz to swap worst 2029 pick (between Utah, Minnesota, and Cleveland) with top 10 protected 2029 Heat pick. Turns into a 2031 second if not conveyed.
Miami gets: John Collins
Two players with very similar contracts (Both at roughly 2/50).
Why for Miami: Terry is having a down year while Collins is having a good year. Collins will add more frontcourt shooting and could be hidden by Spo and Bam a bit. This upgrades the team slightly while not committing too much.
Why for Utah: Tank a bit more while adding a minor asset.

Re: UTA-MIA
We do need to move Collins *for the tank*, but I would not want a team that was:
George/Rozier/Collier/Mills
Sexton/Clarkson/Juzang
Williams/Sensabaugh/Svi
Lauri/???
Kessler/Eubanks/Potter
It is so many combo guards ... and only Sexton is tradeable, probably with minimal value. If Sexton is outgoing in another deal, though, sure...and maybe I should be onboard anyway.
Feels like a relatively low-risk move for Miami that gets them an actual good player instead of having to watch Rozier be who he is.

Re: UTA-MIA
Is the gap between terry and Collins worth tying up draft capital 4 years away? Seem like a couple seconds type of move.
IMO something like Sexton collins for Rozier Robinson is worth the draft capital for the heat.

Re: UTA-MIA
This trade makes sense, but I think it should involve a third team. No one is going to value Rozier but someone is going to want him more than Utah does..
I think for the better roster fit, Miami needs to do something.. think it should only cost 2nds since both players are overpaid, but if the swap is really top 10 protected I guess they probably do it as their desperation move for this core..
Also minor but Miami would need to trade probably Richardson or Love and sign a free agent in order for it to be legal I believe. Need to give themselves more breathing room from the second apron to fill the roster spot

Re: UTA-MIA
I think this could be a very realistic option for Miami but I agree this needs to be a 3 team deal. I would look at a team like the Lakers, Magic or T-Wolves as an option for Terry and sending some expiring deals and a smaller contract player to Utah. Miami would need to include Richardson or Burks in the deal.
