Everyone knows currys time is coming to an end. He’s a 6’3” guard that is 36. That’s why last year and this year were so important in trying to contend because this is probably the end of him being a top 10 player. To ask him to carry a team by himself at this point is crazy but that’s what we’re doing.

That’s why what Kerr is doing sabotaging the team with his no spacing lineups to close the game is maddening.

Next year will be even worse so if we’re not going all in this year then it’s time to trade the pieces off for parts. This 2nd timeline bs really just killed Steph’s timeline.

Kyle Anderson is rated #178 in EPM. He's never been particularly good. Steve is reaching for answers because the roster is low on talent.

This forum will not allow that to happen. Curry was/is /will be always on TOP….

Sad but he is done as top tier guy. It comes very fast…

We can all see that Steph has declined since the '21-22 chip. However, I think the team would look dramatically better with another strong offensive option -- the whole defense keys on Steph all game, and then the other guys don't convert. Other teams have the gameplan on us, and they all just repeat it now. I'm not saying we'd have a strong % of winning a chip, but at least we'd have some kind of tiny remote chance, and at least have some basketball that was a hell of a lot more fun to watch for the next 2.5 seasons than this if we made a trade for a strong offensive option.

Calling it analytics is borderline hurtful

Even the most basic reading of analytics can see this.. SloMo is a high quality defender who's a credible enough 3pt shooter. Unfortunately the public facing stuff can only go on what lineups actually exist - very limited info. Its equivalent to tracing, its not the real art, but people will call it what they call it. Tracking loves the potential lineup of Schroder - Moody - GP2 - JK - SloMo, but its all theoretical. Needs to actually happen. But the other big hurdle is that it would require spamming PnRs, but I honestly dont think that should be a problem. We spam JK isos, even with the starters sometimes. Why not something that would take advantage of 2 of the fastest straight line players in the league?

And if Podz does wind up finding his 3ball, he would probably usurp the currently favored Moody, who's only there for his defense. Or Lindy who's right behind him (and if I'm being 100, might be better than Moody in that situation). The pieces are all there..

14th worst on/off and on-court on the team
#156 in EPM.
#172 eRaptor (adjusted minus 12 role players).

He might be good in a handful of lineup combos, but you're reaching. The last 2 playoffs he got eaten up by opposing teams, rough stats and why I wasn't that excited about him coming in. If your problem is that Kyle Anderson needs more minutes, your team is going nowhere.

Our starters went 5-24 from 3 guys, it's a minor miracle they were even in this game down the stretch in light of that. Yes, there were other issues, but it's hard to overcome that.

I think Kerr likes the idea of Hield as the 6th man, but it should be Dennis. For us to win we need Steph and Buddy running hot from 3 and the guys in the front court really locking down and communicating on defense. Start Looney over TJD. TJD I love his ability to find the soft spot inside offensively but he doesn't play on a string defensively next to Dray and Wiggins the way Looney can. What made Klay so valuable was you had to face guard him and that helped Steph to protect his strong side dribble a lot of times. When teams crowd Steph he dribbles with his strong side dribble going forward and the guy on that wingside has to be able to drill 3s to keep the defense honest.

Curry singlehandedly stunk it up at end of first half causing a deficit when we were leading.

Didn't watch the game but looking at the numbers afterward what sticks out for me is Moody: +16 in just over 10 minutes. Played with Steph, Podz, Draymond/Looney and Kuminga/Wiggins/Hield. +6 +5 +5. Did he learn something or recover from an ailment? If he did then I'm not so disappointed with this game despite the loss. Moody being so bad is one of the things that has really lowered the floor of the season in my view. If he can come back and be a positive like we were expecting at the start of the year that could be just as big as the Schroder trade working out.

Nah he pulled a Podz. He was there when the runs happened, not the guy who actively participated in it. He wasn’t bad or anything but he sure wasn’t good

I found it interesting that Kerr irritated when asked about Kuminga's good game and what Kerr might have said to him. I think Kerr can't stand having to play young guys that make mistakes. He hates not having a complete set of vets so he can freeze out the young guys. Proof of this? Last couple of years he grabs any vet he can find with WAY less talent and gave the minutes to them over Moody and Kuminga.

The decision to go young vs all in on Vets is more than the team on the floor - Kerr in no way is going to give Moody and Kuminga the right about of rope for the to realize their potential.

Btw, Pacers hit some really tough shots down the stretch....incredible one-on-one shots over Wiggins several times. Warriors, other than Curry, don't have that guy. More importantly mayby, Kerr refuses to trust Wiggins, Kuminga in those situations.
