Queen has an interesting story too. At one point he was living in a 2 room retirement home unit with 15 other people. Eventually got kicked out of there and had to live in a car with 3 other teammates from the community college he played for.

You live in a car with 3 people? Like how????

He didnt go to a proper university? Community college doesnt give dorms?

no, Community colleges in the US do not have dorms

I think it was only for a second but I disagree with people saying he shouldn't have gotten anything. Maybe not thrown out but anything near the shoulders/neck/etc refs will be harsh on it

It wasn’t intentional, Goga of all people isn’t like that, but it was worth watching Porzingis getting unhinged.

Porzingis was telling Suggs to get ready for the FT shot because he didn't know a time out was called. Suggs told Porzingis to go to the bench.

Just blown away by the effort from the team, and the string pulling by coach!! When Franz went down, i didn’t think we’d win another one until PB came back. Glad to be wrong!

Jaylen Brown says he isn't going to complain about the refs and then complains about the refs for the entire interview. The Celtics shot 27 FTs compared to 21 by the Magic.

Don't let anyone tell you the team lacks grit, heart, mental toughness, or determination. They're going to lose games but it won't be because of that.

Championships always turn players into the biggest whiners on the planet. In every sport.

I'm so mad I missed this game. Stupid in laws coming into town for Christmas so took them to dinner  Was driving home and decided to check the score and saw we were up 10 with a few minutes to go. Then the feed was delayed due to the Goga/KP stuff. Definitely rewatched the last couple minutes of the game when I got home though.

Some people just look at PPG with athletic ability on a bottom feeder while thinking that equals a winner on a winning team.

No, it really is not. Simons has the ability to score and it is known to many. He can shoot and he can make shots himself.

Whether we get him or not is our FO's decision. But he is interesting to me. Plus he is only 25 years old. He fits with our young core plus he is an Orlando Native. Which means he could stay here long term if we get him.

But again. I know nothing about analytics to tell me if he fits the mold or not. But at least, he is interesting to me

To me, just because some fans like Simons doesn't mean the Magic would consider trading their bench depth for him. And, we have now witnessed how much a deep bench with players who play within a system means to this team.

I knew the stars were with us and we woudl win somehow after we got 2 threes off the backboard and another 3 from Da Silva which was an extremely lucky bounce, it seemed one of those nights when you get all the breaks. But of course this wouldn't have been enough without the great hustle of this team, their fighting spirit never ceases to amaze me, we just don't get blown out no matter who is playing. No matter how large the deficit is, they continue to give their all and find a way to claw back, sometimes it's not enough for a win, but they never pack it early and this is insanely impressive given what an exhaustive grind the regular season is.

SOUL wrote:I feel awful for Moe still.. as much as I get on him for his defense, you also can always pencil him in for 10 points off of the bench, and feast on very specifically bad interior defensive teams.

That being said, I don't know if we win these two with him playing. That defense at times was Vuc level of trading twos for threes and the switch-ability isn't there. The offense was amazing, but teams also knew our offense when Moe is in with the bench unit, the ball somehow always gets to him and becomes predictable. Isaac and WCJ are absolutely maddening at times, but it does provide way more switching opportunities and also lets us play guys like Queen/guards in different lineups because of two defensive bigs roaming.

We'll def have games where we'll miss his scoring though. Especially until Paolo and Franz are back.

Any team anywhere can use 65% 13 ppg off bench no matter what you do on defense, might as well lay in fetal position below rim

But on top of that he was fire starter.

We have been playing with extra edge last two games, it probably isn't sustainable for long, but hopefully one of Franz- Banchero, later both will return to give us some sparks. But last two games we grind out like it's game 7 of finals. Only issue with that playstyle is that our players probably are more exposed to injuries than your average nba- half a***ing effort rest of teams are doing.

When you watch other teams, aside from OKC and us, it feels like shooting practice.

I initially thought it was a very soft ejection but after seeing the freeze frame I can't have many complaints. After a bad stretch to start the game for WCJ, he really picked up and put in a good display.

I blocked this guy on Twitter two years ago and he's still complaining about Mose.. just laughing from all of these games lately. Don't know if he posts here but I wouldnt be surprised

Who do you suspect? lol

I'd rather watch Mose and the staff grow.... More than anything. Maybe get a better offensive coach.... But Mosely deserves to stay. He has an army willing to go out there and lay it all out on the line. And that also comes along with the FO personnel selection also. Credit has to be given to them. Culture is being established.

A great effort and win by the boys. They just need to keep this intensity up and in theory they can beat any team. Black needs to remain focused, saw a couple bonehead plays that are in my opinion just youth as he goes from that to several big plays and a good FT line stat.

Silver lining in all this is you find guys like Queen and Goga. Without injuries they don't even play. Now you argue one is a starter and the other is a rotation player. It helps solidify our rotation when healthy.

They were complaining about the refs a few days ago when they faced the Bulls. As if Brown doesnt get away with pushing with the left hand every single play.

I just love that our players and coach rarely ever complain about the refs. I dont think there's a winning team in the NBA that complains less than the Magic do.
