Minnesota has a PG problem but they're in the 2nd apron.

How about a trade centered around sending Rozier to Minnesota, getting back Randall.
Miami would also have to drop around another 10 million, so you're talking about sending out Robinson for under 10-million-dollar player in return to make it work.

For instance, Robinson could be sent to Detroit for Beasley and save a little bit of money.

I’d rather move Bamonte down to the 4 and baptize Ware by fire than to acquire Randle. Wolves fans have already soured on him and its only been a few months.

Right... the idea would be turning Rozier into him but to do that, you'd have to probably flip Robinson into someone half his salary to a 3rd team, so you might look for a possibly proven defensive guard in that situation.

It's basically the lesser of two evils.

Don’t trust the source but this is likely the case if you watch his calf on the play, would be very shocking if not but hopefully it isn’t.

I have this feeling they just keep him on his 2 way the ROS so he gets paid.

I think two-way players have limited injury protection so neither the player nor the team is completely screwed with the player having a substantial injury. I think they can get some type of small payout instead of just thrown to the side of the road, maybe 50K or 75k?

After this season, I don't think Dru Smith can sign another two-way contract, I believe 3 active years in the NBA is the max. Miami will have to sign him to a regular contract next year and at this point, why not throw him a minimum vet contract 1+1 or 2+1 at the end of this season or in the summer next year. At worst it seems he's a good influence on some of the players with his hard work.

Man that just sucks, he proved all of us wrong too. They say it’s the hardest one to come back from, hopefully he can do it considering he’s still relatively young.

Can’t be wasting roster spots on injured players. Let him play with the Skyforce until he’s fully back but the road is going to take a while. Full 2 way contract is 580k. I’m sure they’ll give him that in full

I'm not sure they can, I think there's a cap of 50% for future pay, at least before the season starts there is so I would think it extends the whole contract length.

Last year, Dru Smith made $1,801,769 guaranteed, so he's not broke, something I had forgot.

In the new CBA, teams have only 90 roster additions for two-way players during the regular season, so since Christopher and Johnson were on the active/inactive roster last night, that ate up 2 of Miami's 90 available two-way spots. So, there is a reason why Miami doesn't bring up two-way players all the time. As of now Miami's used 18 of their 90 two-way spots.
