thibs frustrates me so much in these games...the end of the bench could have lost the 4th qtr by 15.

When the starters have checked out mentally take them out.

Its absolute stupidity at this point and may cost us AGAIN in the long run.

After playing only two back-to-backs in their first 30 games, the Knicks will play 12 in their remaining 52.

Counting both ends, practically half the Knicks' post-Christmas schedule will involve back-to-back games.

All 3 remaining games with Cleveland will involve playing the Cavs on the back end of a back-to-back.

I keep coming back to we are a top 3 team because of the extra 3-5 MPG Thibs plays his top guys.

If he played those guys less, it would cost the teams win, and likely a top 3 slot.

But by playing those guys more, they are gassed come playoff time.

We have a regular season team built for a regular season coach.

The first few games you could see the team chemistry was bigtime in flux. Night and day right now and they are not even entirely gelled quite yet.

So first few games there was more a reason to play starters longer...Now and probably last 15 games or so? Absolutely not.

How you feeling about Kat vs Wemby? would love to hear your thoughts on that matchup...

KAT knows Christmas game against the presumed DPOY would be huge for MVP, question is can he avoid stupid fouls …KAT either goes beserk or early foul trouble…I think either way wemby will be super fatigued come second half , KAT is the significantly heavier boxer who is almost as quick …KAT ate Gobert alive but Wemby is an EXCELLENT flopper

Today's thoughts

1. I'm disappointed that very vocal minutes police ignore my question about Orlando and New Orleans. I'll ask again, why are those team suffering injuries if their players aren't playing big minutes?

2. We're almost at the anniversary of the OG trade and my God what a great trade that was! I admittedly was not happy at the time cause I loved both RJ and IQ and was not that familiar with OG's game and thought he was overrated but I was wrong. Guys like OG are not common and they almost single handedly transfer teams into another tier. Our record with OG in the lineup is 39-13 which is a 60 win team!

3. Love love love Cam Payne! Perfect guard for this team off the bench! Replaced a lot of what we lost in Donte.

4. KAT with a quiet 30 and 10.

5. Amazing we can blow out teams with the Cap JB not scoring a single bucket in a half. This is such a deep team!

6. Thibs has fixed the defense again. Never doubted he would. It's what he does! I get we haven't played the elite offensive teams but you cannot deny the defensive energy, effort and understanding has gotten a lot better since the beginning of the season. We'll still have some downers like every other team but I feel good where we are trending defensively.

7. I bet a lot of you were angry at Thibs leaving the starters in and I get it. But last night we were up 29 to start the 4th and the Raps cut that lead down to 13 with 2 minutes left. I don't think we were in any danger of losing this game cause the Raps don't have the fire power to come back like that but I understand Thibs a little. He's a nervous nelly with leads. Solution? Don't let the other team make any type of run! Thibs has shown he will pull the starters with 9 minutes left if we hold tight.

Were on an unreal run - in the last year we've upgrade rj to og, Randle to kat, and wally to Crawford.

Orlando and New Orleans are injured cause they left their players late in games?

Crawford needs to be our fulltime guy once Clyde retires. He's really good!

I'd like them to let Monica do a few games too.

Now 14-4 after starting the season 5-6 but remember it's .500 till new year's day so ahead of schedule.

I know the minutes police freak out cause they think a player playing over a certain amount of minutes or being there late in a game means they will get hurt but it's been proven that's not true so I'm confused.

Looking forward to getting the high score on space invaders tomorrow!!

Day drinking will commence around 3pm! Merry Christmas Eve Knicks family!

So did I :D
I wanted to respond to a post you made yesterday but I cant find it
I'll just say this...Last December I started watching the Knicks again and discovered that Brunson was a kid in the locker rooms
of Ewing- Spree, Houston etc...At that moment I went into the Brunson history rabbit hole and realized Brunson was born and meant to bring a CHIP to our city...

Not taking away anything from our other guys like Hart, OG, Mikal, etc- I'll get into those guys later...But Kat...he's in a similar category to me-- like Brunson...

There was a fan who told a story of sitting next to WWW on Kat's draft night. Over heard him say Kat would become a Knick in the future and that he would be better than KP- something like that- I forgot the story exactly...the point:

Kat was a Knick fan all his life...You can see that he's proud to where the orange and blue. He spent 9 beautiful and important years
in Minny but considers this his home...This is one of his posts around the time he was traded.

Read on Twitter

I know some of the Knick family members think we robbed Minny...We didn't...Minny knew they had Kat on borrowed time and
they couldn't afford to keep him. This was an orchestrated journey by Kat's team...Kat always wanted to come home and help bring a chip to the city. I believe he will accomplish this mission...

What a time JB to be a Knick fan :D

We have two superstar players in their prime. Surrounded by all star level talent. 6moy talent. Good bench depth. Offense. Defense. Balance. No riff raff. A little wiggle room to make a marginal trade.

I need to see us play the big boys more. OKC/BOS/CLE/HOU. MIL getting on a roll.I want to beat up the big boys!! The schedule gets tougher soon enough. We are gonna do big things!

A) The players who let the lead slip away _were_ in part the starters. They let their foot off the gas in a way that reserves looking to expand their time likely don't.

B) You're conflating two camps. There's an absolute minutes camp who wants a minutes cap. Then there are those who simply don't want to see guys playing when the game is in hand. See point A.

Nobody's guaranteeing anyone will get hurt at any given time and what's happening Orlando has nothing to do with this concern. Simply put, if a player is playing there's a certain likelihood of injury at any point in the game. Why take that risk with the game in hand? Especially, if you can build up backup units that can preserve leads and are hungry to prove themselves.

There are two camps people who want to fire Thibs and are using the minutes thing as their justification and people who want to keep the best Knicks coach of the 20th century as he leads us to yet another 50+ win season and builds up the value of our players in unfathomable ways
