Still still think Houston, Golden State and Denver are the realistic destinations

Players like to feel wanted. You either extend him or trade him.

They weren’t thinking, and that’s why Jimmy wants out, they’ve been asleep at the wheel.

He wanted to retire here but he wants a championship. He’s realized this front office can’t get anything done and now he wants out and I don’t blame him. This all started after having an elite player request Miami and only Miami and the Heat not being able to get anything done. It’s rumored now that they were playing hardball in those negotiations as well with Jovic being the main asset. Complete incompetence

What he realized is Miami was actually very serious about not giving him his money. Now the media games begin. "Jimmy just wants to win". What he wants is that extra year and coasting for 20 of the 58 regular seasons games he plays. Anybody look at Jimmy Butler this year and think he should've got that extension?

That’s not it, outside of skewed numbers from leaving 2 games basically right when they started he’s having arguably his best season with the Heat despite lowest usage.

If he wants out, give him what he's asking for. The Heat denying/not denying a report that his agent was shopping his client to contenders/other teams wasn't a deciding factor.

Spurs and Houston are the only teams with expiring’s, young players on good deals, and picks. Warriors deal sucks and so does Suns with Beal and lowly 2031 1st.

Yes Butler wants stay in Miami but wants 50 plus mill

There’s almost no market for Jimmy at that price.

So his agent has to play games to either create a market or at least the illusion of there being one

Mia understands that as of now they’d be negotiating against themselves by succumbing to his number

All theater

I believe a trade will happen before the deadline. The question will be will that be enough time for a second or third move.

Teams willing to trade for him sound like they are willing to pay him what he wants. He don’t have to play nice anymore.

This is why the noticeable youth movement was a key hint. This is now Bam and Herros team. They will be the veteran leaders of the team going forward. Once Butler is gone and a third piece is added, the Heat will add high quality vets. Until the Butler deal happens everything is on hold unless a moves give flexibility. I wouldn’t be surprised if if Heat have talked to Love about his future

Return to Miami Heat
