all other teams have trade obstacles.

-reported
suns, its beal or bust trade wise, with this ntc and extra contract heat are probably not interested.
mavs, would have to trade too many rotation players just to make salary work.
rockets, they can find matching salary (brooks + adams), but i dont think they want to extend butler so for that reason i knock them out.

-others
nuggets, a trade for porter, but porter makes more sense on nuggets than butler
thunder, all in move? but again would have to trade too many rotation players, and i dont think butler moves needle for them.
lakers can make a trade for him, but would they want to resign him?
kings, maybe if they want to shake things up, a DD + filler trade for butler?
hawks, maybe if they want to consolidate a couple of players into 1, but i dont think they want to extend him either.

yeah, but I don't see the Heat wanting Wiggins. If they trade Butler, they are going younger. That is where the Raps could come in...

pipe dream?

why would the raptors want wiggins, i guess if its arbitrage type trade where we want to roll browns contract into something else, but wiggins, rj barrett, dick, walter, a 1st round pick is likely to be a wing/guard player.

also butler is not going to get that much in return. its a very niche fit trade wise for him(fit and salary), so many teams wont be interested. think Siakam, who fit so few teams and even less of those teams that were willing to give him an extension.

butler for wiggins, payton, podz + 1st. i dont think heat want to be in the kuminga extension business.

2 teams that will give him a 2 year extension at a minimum. no wonder he is most interested in them.

if this is true, then bruce saying he was close to being ready a few weeks ago was probably true and he wanted to protect his image. he can now tell folks it was toronto that kept him out to trade him.

His agent can frame it any way he wants but the Heat would love to get rid of him. Once Pat sours on you, it's very hard to get back in his good books. His continuing to miss games isn't helping. On pace to miss 20+ yet again this season. Will be 36 before next season starts. Good luck with that extension. At this point he should just be happy that he has that PO.

there is no reason for the raps to sit him out now esp after coming back from surgery. he has to show he can contribute.
