How about for a 2nd....but then with a wink wink we get WCJ next year for Porlands 2nd.

Win win!

Kelly, Portland 2nd for Gary Harris and Denver 2025 1st lotto protected. It can be our version of the Thad 15 spot trade in reverse.

That works!

seems magic have denver's pick this year?

Yes according to spot trac they do, protected 1-6. But I doubt they would hand it over for the likes of Kelly without the Portland 2nd coming back and protecting it further. Denver 1st probably is around 20 and Portland pick around the low to mid 30s.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

my bad...i thought harris was with the nuggets but even with that, harris is essentially an expiring contract. i can't see us getting an expiring contract AND getting a FRP although olynyk is more functional at this point.

It is not really 1st though, it is only 10-15 spots. lol

I can’t see the Magic giving up a first round pick and taking on more salary for a bench player that’s not really going to move the needle.

Really impressive what Orlando has been able to do without Paolo and Franz. Having a system in place that's plug and play is huge for regular season wins as we saw on those Casey teams with the bench mob. No paper, no way they should have been beating a Boston team only missing Tatum.

Boston shooting 8/33 from 3 while the Magic shot 11/33 definitely helped Orlando out a bunch. Queen, Da Silva, Bitadze and WCJ all lightning up Boston did too. Was an interesting game.

Tony Brothers and crew working league agenda to highlight Wemby at the Garden. KAT sitting with 4.

League badly needed this from Wemby in the Gahden, if only for the sake of the discourse.

that 3 from wemby should've counted but of course then spurs would've had an 8 point, possibly 9 point lead. can't do that if you're tony brother.
props to bridges who had a fantastic game though.

i mean i guess. but he took half his shots from 3 and shooting 6/16 is not bad but is this why we're enthralled with him. so this genetic freak of nature can use his god given skills to shoot 3s from outside? he had a good game scoring wise but otherwise non memorable at all.

Victor is really what they look like. I don't think people realize how insane he is for just a 20 year old (turns 21 in January).

It IS worth mentioning that he was highly disruptive on D and had 18 boards. And that he was flashing the pull-up J at the foul line and a bunch of good off-ball movement. Definitely too many 3s, definitely a bunch of STUPID 3s in the first quarter, but he was surely not San Antonio's problem in that game. Leastwise until the last 5 minutes.

What if teams had to have one guy on the floor at all times who was designated as a non-three pointer. Kind of like how linemen have to declare eligibility to catch passes in the nfl. If that player makes a three, it only counts as a two.

Kyrie is insane. Shooting floaters over Gobert with an offhand.

I think people mostly just need to STFU about threes, to be honest.

Today, at an average pace of 99.3 poss/g, teams shoot an average of 88.6 FGA/g, 37.6 from 3 and another 4.3 per game from 16-23 feet. So that's 42.4% of their shots from 3 and another 4.9% from the long two.

In 1998, at 90.3 poss/g and 79.7 FGA/g (12.7 3PA/g), teams were taking 21.3% of their shots from 16-23 feet, or about 17 per game, with threes on about 15.9%. So the proportion is about 37.2%. Yeah, teams are taking a LITTLE bit higher a proportion of long jumpers, but not nearly as much as a lot of the whiners are complaining.

it was really impressive indeed.
That coach showed improvements year after year like any good coach.
2021/22|22-60 (10-31away)
2022/23|34-48 (14-27away)
2023/24|47-35 (18-22away)

FO must have emailed Grange to cool any negative article after the one he did a month ago.

Any head coach, in any of the Major pro league (outside of Canada), on a 8-game losing streak, including 5 straight losses at home and with a 0-14away record is looking at getting fired at any moment.
