I think I had January as my appropriate freak out time. He's just been such a good player for so long. I've been looking for ways to get him here since we didn't draft him.

When you posted that a while ago, I recall thinking it would never take him that long. The team just wanted to get KAT going and they knew it wouldn't be hard to get Mikal into high gear after that. In the meantime, they made Sims into a useful 3rd string player, got Precious back on his feet, developed the Cam Payne of previous years, and got them all on the same page together.Not to mention that they made the summer league trash, Hart, into the regular season magician he was last year. Not to bad for 30 games.

Seriously, there's a reason why no 7'4" player has ever done that before and had his body stay healthy. I only wish Wemby the best of health, but it's a long journey from a light, skinny, but quick tall alien to a heavy, muscular, slightly slower monster killing machine. We'll have to see how he can handle carrying a lot more weight (muscle) on that skinny skeleton of his.

That's the real issue. I heard Silver has nightmares about Yao Ming and Will Walton when he thinks of Wemby as the face of the NBA.

The league just needs a new chosen one, period.

It could be Jokic but he’s bland and as talent floods in it’s harder and harder to build dynasties, which the league also needs.

Ant has the personality but no real hardware.

Luka has some hardware but I’m not sure he’s as likable as people want him to be.

There’s a void. They’ll push them all until it becomes clear.

Yeah that's why I specifically mentioned post season because teams will try to key on brunson in the paint and KAT at the 3 pt line. Mikal working in those spaces that the defense is willing to give up and being one of the best in the league will be huge.

Also his defense is back to being super impactful as well.
