I was ready to accept a moral victory just based on Bridges having this great game but we went ahead and snagged the real victory too

Wow, Bridges in God Mode was impressive

Also, Precious was truly fantastic in the second half

Those two gave us the win

It's hard to believe, but Wemby actually is a Kareem upgrade. If he stays healthy he'll be one of the greatest players in the history of the game.

This is really the only way to guard him currently. In the future he'll be strong enough get closer to the basket but for now wings limit him from putting the ball on the floor, they have more closeout speed than bigs and they stop the PnR because you can switch OG onto CP3.

KAT picking up his 5th foul worked in our favor because Thibs was never going to go with that matchup on his own.

Unsubstantiated fiction

He's had 3 games against the Rockets, he's averaging 19ppg with Dillion Brooks as the primary defender.

He's had 3 games against the Blazers, he's averaging 23ppg on 42% with Jerami Grant as the primary defender.

He had 6 pts against the Thunder, they guarded him with a mix of Jdub, Dort and Caruso because IHart and Chet were out.

The best way to defend him this season has been with wings that get under him and stop him from dribbling.

He could be the best.

It was annoying to see him kvetching after the loss... but damnit he's good.

going to need more imagination from thibs on both ends. I like getting these W's but the bigger picture always looks bleak when I look at it.

we're 20-10 with a handful of really bad losses to bum teams and early season feel out games. I think we can go 20-10 in our next 30 and end up 40-20 at least.

Why doesn’t he just post them up? Genuinely asking as I rarely watch him play. He settled for a bunch of long range shots for no reason

Didn't see the post-game

But it was annoying seeing them inbound to Wemby standing under the basket and there was nothing we could do to stop him. David Lee had to pirouette in mid-air with his opposing hand with one tenth of a second to do that.

It is surreal watching a guy do a scoop layup from the foul line. San Antonio is probably better than their record already. By the playoffs they will be a dangerous team.

Your attempt to ignore the point of my comment with a clumsy side step does not go unnoticed.

He's wrong. We played better basketball down the stretch, because what he's whining about has everything to do with playing winning basketball.

He's not strong enough yet to offset the leverage advantage they have; he's gained weight but 235lbs is probably the second lightest starting center with only Chet being lighter. He has post moves but putting strong wings on him and even guards has been effective because they get under him and stand him up or just push him away from where he wants to catch the ball.

The danger zone when he will be the best player in the league is 2-3 years away when he fills out and gets up to around 255-260lbs, he'll be faster than most centers and heavier/stronger than most wings.

They need another big talent.

If they get Fox they could be real trouble.

It’s not a bad shot for him fading away etc. this team is something else. They don’t mind sharing the spotlight with whoever is hot.

Shooting while moving is something many players can't do to save their lives. Bridges only needs to plant his feet for a nano-second to initiate a fall-back and/or sideways jumper. With his length, the way he shoots with full extension makes him difficult to defend against.

I do think we won because our talent was just a little bit better collectively. But Wemby is such a talent that just one star level player next to him will make them scary. I always liked Fox. Wanted him to be a Knick going back years, even the draft when we didn't have the pick to get him.

But as good as Wemby looked, Mikal scored the same amount with much greater efficiency so I don't know about us being lucky to win. We have several guys who can go off at any time and one of them did just that.

When we had a 10 point run to take the lead Precious was everywhere on the floor, he outrebounded three Spurs several times, was really active defensively with great man defense and making quality switches and he hit some shots as well.

Precious was very effective tonight. Not a chance we win this without him.

I'll let him slide because he's young but I agree 2000%-he's whinning and is acting like a sore loser...
A loss is a loss just tip your cap and be ready for the next meeting Wemby...the only problem you will have now is-
the Knicks wont forget what you said  And Kat wont be in foul trouble
