I'd like to think there are some fans out there of some poverty, poorly run franchise, like say the Wizards and the Pelicans, who look at the Knicks front office and say "Man, I wish we had a front office that could pull off deals like that. That could position themselves to even BE IN THE CONVERSATION of pulling off moves like that. Instead we have these clowns"

Well, we lucked into Brunson because of his dad and Leon. That wasn’t some kind of “genius” move. It’s like it was destined to happen.

I've never liked Wembys personality. Glad we handed him an L. Dude, since the pre-draft process, seems to think he is ordained to just be the best basketball player of all time... Doesn't really have an ounce of humility to him.

It makes him harder to like because nothing about his game is relatable at all. He's just an extreme outlier of size and coordination. There's nothing about his game that's aesthetically pleasing or exudes a pure passion for the craft.

I have my DVR to record all Knicks games. Unbeknownst to me, there was this silly animated facsimile of the game on ABC. So when I finally got to sit down and watch, I hit “Play” and got the cartoon game. I’m like WTF is going on? Thankfully the human version got recorded as well and I was able to watch the game.

Take the time to watch the cartoon game. We put it on for 2 mins to just see and ended up watching it for 10 minutes. It was f*cking hilarious. KAT was Goofy and Mikal was Donald Duck, you had Goofy doing a slam and flexing, splashing 3s, then you had Donald hitting 3s and doing Mikals celly. It was so funny.

he's one of those guys that "studies the greats" so he's prob going to mimic their arrogance too

edit: i just read his post game comments that I assume you and others are reacting to. I get what he's saying but still it comes off as salty. outside of the rebounds down the stretch, mikal straight cooked them. so i think that would fall under the category of better basketball.

unless his stance is that a red hot shooting guy isn't "better basketball" since it's not superior Xs and Os.

anyways whatever he can hold the L. he was a no show down the stretch. i felt like most of the game the knicks outplayed them outside of transition.

wanted to give props to OG - don't think it's been mentioned enough on those last possessions he helped keep the 1st rebound alive and then at least hit rim on the grenade to allow another rebound (barely got it off in time and would have been a shot clock violation otherwise). watching it live i was worried he would get a shot clock violation as he's been prone to that occasionally when he gets grenades to pump fake and not get it off in time.

prior to that his defense was huge and he hit that one really big 3 that i think either cut the lead to 3 or tied it.

Let's review. I suggest the Wembyganda is the league trying to market itself to an international audience. You disagree...what is it you disagree with because you haven't clearly articulated what you disagree with?

Do you think the league isn't trying to market itself to an international audience with it's players?

That using a player from one country won't work to market itself because as you suggest, people only connect with players from their own country and not any others?

Please clarify because I'm not sure if you have made it clear what your point is.

If you think the league isn't trying to expand it international audience using a player not born and raised in the US, why don't you think they are?
