The best teams in the league have this model, the big 3 is dead, it's now a big 2 with a gang of superglue guys. The greater the impact of those glue guys, the higher the ceiling of the team.
Even the Heatles were ultimately this model because they didn't win until Bosh took a back seat and did role player things. At a certain point, volume scoring becomes redundant. Warriors had crazy luck with Curry's salary to be able to have a big 3 and great role players.
The Heat and the way that Riley and Spo were able to conjure up role players off the scrap heap and from out of nowhere definitely allowed them to fill out a capable roster around those 3.
With the Warriors one of their big 3 is an ultimate superglue guy that even allowed for the death line up to exist because he could guard both centers down to PGs. Without him it doesn't work.
gotta have a culture to do that consistently.
riley tree live on live long.
