Plum pudding with brandy butter and custard for Boxing Day breakfast today. It’s what the baby Jesus would have wanted.

Today, my finest friends, I shall indulge in my favourite bit of leftover Xmas food delight- ham and eggs. Oh baby. Oh, oh, oh baby.

Can anyone help me change my avatar? I used to use Photobucket but it’s no longer a free site. I’ve had this Kobe Bryant avatar since his untimely passing and I’m ready to put something Bucks back but now I can’t figure out how. Everything I keep trying, Realgm doesn’t seem to support, Imgur, photobucket or even images straight from google images.. I didn’t realize it became so complicated. Can anyone help me out please? I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I use Imgur currently. Just make sure you're using the url of the native image (with the .gif or .jpg suffix) from imgur and it should work.

We don't celebrate Christmas but we had a family gathering because everyone was off and my mother in law made lentil soup, two lamb legs, an amazing rice pilaf, and homemade pastries for dinner and then homemade kunafa for dessert and I felt like the spirit of the season was live in well in our household.

Happy Holidays to you all. Love this place and love sharing my fandom with all of you. Special shout out to MD for everything he does to make this place work.

Cheers to you and yours!

I believe the image has to be very small as well. Maximum size is 100x100 pixels and under 50 kb. So you can't just take anything off of Google images. You gotta crop and resize it, then upload to Imgur.

Keep eating legs of lamb and you’ll have the Greeks and (far more handsome) Australians fighting to making you an honorary one of their own.

Obviously we would win, as the Greeks would either already be passed or worried they’re too close to their retirement age of, I’m gonna guess, 36 to take a risk. “I’m getting too old for this shnizzle.”

Call me crazy but I'm not a big ham guy. And work sent me a honey ham that I've yet to cook. Might try some type of cordon bleu or a simple ham carbonara.

I become a weird little ham freak at Xmas time. I always get a way too big ham, and get one irrespective of whether we’re hosting or not. I wasn’t always this way, but a decade ago something inside me changed (presumably the levels of salt in my body).

There's a dive bar here famous for their two sandwiches. The roast beef with raw sliced onion, or the ham and cheddar. I've never gotten the roast beef because the ham and cheddar (with the horseradish mustard - it's a must) is without a doubt my favorite sandwich ever.

Image

I would do evil things to know the recipe. The ham is sort of chipped and slow cooked in this sticky glazy sauce with a bit of a kick. It's impossibly messy and comes with a large stack of napkins.

You magnificent bastard! That sounds a delight, I love horseradish.

Got my son a 3D printer for XMas. That thing is awesome. For every 10th little toy or trinket he has printed, I've been able to sneak in and print something that's actually useful.

Same. I never cook it myself, but when it's cooked for holidays by others I always go for the ends. I find that I like the almost-burned ends of it the best.

I'm so intrigued by these but I don't know what I'd print. Out of curiosity, what have you been printing that's useful?

My son is really into Legos, and he has some dated light switch covers in his room so I printed these (not the actual ones I printed):

I also made a couple of cool bookmarks and a tool for cleaning out the charging ports in iphones, ipads, etc.

Next up I am going to print these to go in the hallway closet for our broom and Swiffer.

Basically anything that you would spend $5-$10 to have shipped on Amazon.

My son also loves Minecraft, so we are going to print some version of this for a night light cover.

Making demi has always seen cool in theory but extremely impractical for a home cook, so I've never done it. I'm shocked this only showed up in my algorithm for the first time today. Reducing three quarts down right now while the game is on.

Also, ironically (or creepily), I had the three quarts of Pacific Foods Low Sodium Chicken Broth in my pantry from last week. I was sick, looking for a good sipping chicken broth and that one seemed to be highly regarded for that purpose. I tried it and it tasted like grass, was kinda gross. Wasn't until today when I started the demi that I realized two of the quarts I bought (and the one I sipped) were vegetable stock.
