Do you think Walter is a lot bigger than Dick? Defense is also a mindset and willingness to throw whatever body type you have against other teams.

Dick is soft and let's people bully him without any resistance at the moment. I want to see the fire in him defensively when people bully him and not just be a pushover that he comes across as.

Clearly he's not bigger than Dick. He's much more polished on defense than Gradey, specifically on ball. I assume that he's also stronger than Gradey. Clearly there's a physicality element in which Walter is much more comfortable than Gradey. Chet is similar in that he's not strong but has no issues with physicality, sure he gets manhandled by bigger players but he's not scared to engage them physically. All I'm saying is that as Gradey matures and gets stronger he's going to feel more comfortable being physical. I don't think Gradey is soft at all, I think he's physically weak and knows it thus he's not confident battling stronger players on defense. A soft guy wouldn't give up his body to take charges, or attack the rim the way Gradey does. I believe that he does want to be a good defender or at least not a negative one. I'm finding that a lot of the same people who were calling him a bust 10 games into his career are the same ones that are adamant that he'll never be even a competent defender.

Gradey is soft. Hes a pushover. He doesn't fight or resist tough scenerio's. You know its not surprising either what would be surprising is if a 20 year old all american top 10 Kansas all american team USA recruit was not soft... The NBA is trending towards being soft in general nowadays sop it doesn't really matter you can be soft in this league amd still make it but at the end of the day hes a kid and needs time to develop and if you hand these guys the keys before they develop that grit and all around game thats what your gonna get.

If gradey becomes a 40% high volume 3 point shooter, with a versatile offensive game that is a win. To me that is his best case scenario and what the expectations should be in regards to his potential. I don’t give a **** about his defense, I don’t think that needs to be a talking point in evaluating him.

When this team wins everyone’s a genius. When they lose the blame falls on Darko and their scapegoat which is either RJ or Gradey. What would this board discuss if they couldn’t mention coaches?

I actually don’t think gradey is a scapegoat at all and I think people are starting to overrate him/have too high of expectations

His scouting report said he’s be a good shooter ajd potential secondary scorer. So far thats what he is.

He’s shootinf 41% from the field and 35% from 3. Right now he’s an average shooter at best. Again his potential is based on his ability to be elite at that aspect of his game. If he becomes that then it’s a win and everything else is gravy. But again I’m not sure why people keep talking about his defense. He wasn’t drafted to be a defender and most likely will never be a good one. Who cares.

His shot diet from 3 is very difficult. Hes not just standing in a corner and catching and shooting. Ironically thats what he's been worst at so far this season and that should pick up. His movement shooting is invaluable.

Regardless of his shot diet his efficiency is not where it needs to be. Again I’m not sure why the excuses are necessary. That’s really all that matters in regards to whether or not the dick pick was a hit. Like I said he wasn’t drafted to play defense.
