Fun game too. I like how the young guys compete. Bilal and Sarr made winning plays. Kyshawn was superb defensively

Kyshawn was drafted with a reputation for being a shooter, which he hasn’t been very good at. But he’s played well on defense and shown some decent play making skills.

Hopefully, his shooting comes around.

It occurs to me that if Key is still in the middle of a growth spurt it may take a minute for him to recalibrate on the fly.

Recall the team docs said his growth plates are still open and he may top out at 6’10”. I recall being awkward while I stretched from 5’6” to 6’3” and it took me a minute to figure out where I started & end and for the muscle to catch up.

I also think these guys haven't had proper training for stamina and increasing muscle mass. since they are all bird chested lil boys out there.... Once they get into the gym to further develop there existing and potentially additional bodies they will perform better simply off that.... Playing in the league takes stamina and I don't even think Bilal is there yet, much less the rookies....

Surprised we pulled that one out after going up big and then giving back the whole lead.

Will be tough to out-tank some of these teams. The intentional displays of poverty and trash play across the league are impressive. This year or next year, we deserve the number one. Maybe it will lineup with Uncle Terd's robbery of DC's coffers and the renovation of the arena.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

Surprisingly good crowd for a Thursday night game against the Hornets. I’m certain it was because of the holiday.

It was especially fun being there when the arena was filled with Zards fans and not fans of the opposing team.

^ I wonder if the crowd size wasn't due to being day after xmas and playing a team
that we had a chance to beat. We'll have a clue about that when we see the
proportion of NYK fans present at the next game.

Holiday was the major factor, imo. Ticket prices were probably also reasonable.

There will be a big Knicks crowd on Saturday and tickets will be more costly.

And no one will be allowed to sit in a corner somewhere and repeatedly
and loudly yell

F**K the Knicks.

(I remember this from a Capital Centre game back in the Ewing era
when we didn't beat them for many consecutive years)

Note - I'm not saying we should go back to those days.

I remember another Knicks game (@ verizon) when they pretended to give
away a wide screen TV to a Knicks fan who was there with his NYK friends
but then 'accidentally' slipped and allowed the TV to break. The crowd loved that.

:)

I thought we should have been favored in the first place.

Keep them, Carrington and Champagnie. Let them play heavy minutes.

With the injuries listed there are plenty of minutes available for Valančiūnas, George & Champagnie. Maybe even see Vukevic get some PT.

Hopefully George and Champagnie use this game to get their mojo back.

Ky didn't shoot well but other than that, he was
doing the right things.

Sarr looking good. Not many boards though.
Key tip in late though.

Bub has to avoid fouls better. The first foul was okay,
but you can't get a second one 5 sec later even if it
was kind of a BS call.
When he was on court, he was mostly solid and
unlike a 19 yo.

Poole is suddenly playing much more consistently.
When he's hot, he's crazy. When he's not, he can be crazy/silly.
Kudos for gutting it out after being hurt.
Whenever he is efficient, he suddenly makes our O
good (or at least much better) all by himself.

Bilal had a good game but his shooting remains
erratic. Does a job defensively (usually on the other teams
primary wing threat)

Kispert is playing more like he should be expected to.
The Wizards lack a young rebounder.

DERIK QUEEN is who the Wizards should draft because he and Sarr would kill teams.

We should just draft Queen. We shouldn't have to tank to get him top-10.

I got to see the nationally broadcast ending.

The crowd was surprisingly noisy after the referees made a couple of controversial calls.
