Is there in NBA another player on two-way you would like to trade Garza for?

Re: The Positivity Thread
Not only did we go 9-7 in that brutal stretch, but we also got through it without dropping out of first place.
Now we have 45 games left, including...
4 against Portland (10-27)
2 against Detroit (3-35)
2 against Washington (6-31)
2 against San Antonio (6-30)
2 against Memphis (14-23)
1 against Charlotte (8-27)

Re: The Positivity Thread
I have to go to page 6 to find this thread and there is nothing about 2024-2025 season yet.
I think we were a OT win against HOU away (which we should had won) from making the NBA Cup knock out round. This year is going to be like 2023-2024 where one or two games will drop you 6 spots in the standings. Win that HOU OT game we would be 11-9, playing for the Cup and one game away from second place in the losing column. Season looke a lot better. Maybe I could even tolerate Randle.

Without a doubt, in terms of the congested West.
I would say in terms of success on the court, we are a lot like 2022-23. We never were able to put an extended stretch together. In fairness, that season was marred by an injury to Towns, which interestingly enough happened in Game 21 with the team at 10-10 and in 10th place in the West. I think they could have finished higher than 8th without that injury, which is why I am still holding out hope for this season.

Yes, I meant 22-23 season in my previous post too.

The Wolves are now tied for 2nd in the league defensively averaging 106.6 PPG allowed.
They led the NBA last year at 106.5 PPG allowed.

Some positive comments about Wolves. Will be interesting to hear what TNT has to said. I bet Chuck will talk about how Towns is liberated by going back to center and BS like that. https://www.si.com/nba/timberwolves/minnesota-timberwolves-news/timberwolves-can-t-be-blamed-for-nba-s-ratings-plummet-01jf83nc1f5m

Re: The Positivity Thread
I'm trying so hard to remain positive.
I think the biggest thing I'm trying to stress and remind myself is that I think this has always been a transition. I know some people don't like to hear it and refuse to believe it but that's been my stance for most of the season. Even without the trade, I did not come in expecting "WCF or bust". That being said, boy is it ugly at times. I knew it would be clunky like 2022-23, but I think right now we are even a step behind that year.
Right now, I do think the struggles largely come down to the integration of Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo.
Clunky offense: Randle (and Ant) tends to ball-stop
Lack of rebounding urgency: We are generally a good defensive team, but average at best in rebounding. That means the opponents are piling up the offensive rebounds and making us defend another 24 seconds. Julius is a big part of this.
Transition defense: We've taken a major step back here. We're still technically middle of the pack, but no longer as good as we were.
Poor spacing: This one is multi-layered. Yes, we traded away Towns. That's not the only thing to blame. Donte hasn't found his shot. That's a killer right now. Jaden is inconsistent at best. But also, I think a negative of a drive and kick offense is that after the kick, you and your man are now in the paint. It's easier for Ant to drive around smalls than it is to drive around Julius and his PF/C defender. Especially when Julius has a tendency to loaf.

Someone actually posted on this thread today? We beat a bunch of teams that were either bad or short handed and we lay an egg in the first real test. Granted it was emotional and stuff but there is no positivity today. Let win the GSW game then we could discuss how well Randle punchout Green.

Re: The Positivity Thread
In one of the threads (or maybe on Twitter?) someone brought up the opinion that the front office is regretting the Gobert extension. But I'll remind everyone of something I said in Gobert's first season here: We are literally at rock bottom/worst-case scenario and we are .500. There were decades of seasons where that was our best-case scenario.

Re: The Positivity Thread
As bad as it feels, we have won 7 of 11. There are positive signs happening here.
I think it's worth looking at the rest of the West right now too. We are 1.5 games back of 5th. Dallas is 3.5 games ahead of us in 4th but Luka will be out a while. I believe it's similar to what KAT had last year. I give us just as good of a chance at climbing as the Nuggets, Lakers, Clippers, Suns, etc.

It's like you wake up every single day believing the best possible outcome. You know damn well the team is not in a good place. You admitted so in one the previous game threads.
Just stop.
Fans don't want to hear it, Klomp.

Go back and check. I always thought we could come back out of whatever bad place the team was in. Even in Toronto, which was the worst of the worst this season.

Thought you didn't see things this way.. ?
I'm trying to give a benefit of the doubt for as long as I can. And for the record, I don't think I ever expected a repeat of 56 wins, before or after the trade. And honestly, the WCF was probably unlikely too. But those are just playing the odds, I don't really think I've gone doom and gloom quite yet. Tonight was not good though.
Being in a bad place is not a static position. Things can always change for the better (or the worst).

Calm down. We're all at a point of no return with this team. No reason to fight amongst ourselves.

The reason this thread exists is because of the ridiculous amount of negative posting that occurs on all other threads.
Maybe you can restrain yourself from posting that stuff in this one thread? That’s the title.

Unbelievable. How selfish do you have to be to believe “fans want to hear” your ultra-negative crap in every single thread on the board? Maybe you can let one called “The Positivity Thread” get a pass, instead of going after guys that post ON TOPIC positive things here?!?
Take your own damn advice
