Sochan has the shortest 7' wingspan I've ever seen.

He keeps getting blocked by the rim on those stretch drives. Just one step closer, mate, and an inch higher ...

Dude named Clowney loses his cool and gets tossed from the game lol

You'd think a lifetime with that name would make him more resilient.

p.s. Sochan is such a **** disturber.

4TH Q: SPURS 96 NETS 87

A win is a win and we're actually trying for these, despite looks to the contrary with not optimizing our team strengths.

Small ball for the two winnable losses and wonky win...

Wemby took a half off, or we focused on the team around him, and floundered badly, not at all helped by midget lineups in the non-Wemby minutes. Counter intuitive. Counter productive.

We shouldn't have needed a great game by Wemby to pull through, shouldn't have needed an opponent missing like half its team in a B2B to get a come from behind W.

Not utilizing our full team strengths is making the game far more taxing than it needs to be.

For the third consecutive game when we have not used any bigs behind Wemb, we have been once again outrebounded. And we have lost the PITP. And we have lost second chance points. This when we have the manpower to help with each, including shooting 3s better, on which we connected for 12-29.

We shot only 77FGAs which makes sense with 13TOs taking chances away, with several coming from midget lineps.

Our bench tonight was two guards in Tre and Castle and two forwards in Keldon and Julian.

Even if we are showcasing players, it would help to set them up in best situations. Same as the rest of the team. I don't recall such a rigid holding onto a rotation, especially one so counter to what we have needed at a given time.

It's also become apparent, again, that Devin is in some type of funk slump. But he is also picking his spots in being aggressive in choosing to drive and absorb contact. And on D he makes one move to make a stop and then stops trying. A swipe at the ball and then back to his defensive space; a run over a screen and gets beaten and then oh well Wemby will take care of the three opponents crashing the boards. One attempt at the rebound and then gets upright and watches. What happened to the Devin whose game I love and praised to his Mom?! What happened to the Devin who had all kinds of handles in his toolkit to beat his man off the dribble? What happened to the Devin who looked to drive and finish creatively through contact? The Devin whose middy was money because the drives created the space? The lack of second effort on D, the holding back or being selective with physicality is not the Dein game who bece my favourite Spur. He is not maximizing his considerable talents and developed skills. The only Spur with zero FTs.

Castle is at least trying his heart out bulldozing through opponents on drives holding nothing back. Getting to the FT line (just has to make more of these...).

Not only do we not use our bigs behind Wemby we now **** have Tre and CP3 out there more together. Why don't we **** invite Merry and Pippin alongside **** Samwise and Frodo with **** Bilbo Baggins playing C and try our luck that way.

There's counter to what's expected, there's trying new things, and then there's **** with lineups to the team's detriment, to the tripping up of team unity and cohesion and going beyond individual limits (you can't teach height) and playing right into an opponent's hand. Hey **** it let's try Chris Paul at C next game!

Our O has looked disjointed in part because our D is pressured beyond what it should have to handle, again, especially when *we have the guys to help in the very things we're failing at* because Mitch Johnson refuses to play our other **** bigs. Had we played a better team, or even this one but rested and with its full complement of players, I'm not at all convinced we'd have won. Are we just **** around or are we actually trying to win games? Because we are not setting up the players optimally for success with these ass rotations and lineups.

Julian stepped up with a great O game, despite the weird trying to hard but not having the handles drives and TO. Led us with 5-7 from 3.

Keldon movement and hard drives and fakes stood out well. He physicalled his way to a good came. Led the bench with 4-4FTs and 6 boards.

Wemby. 19, 7, 4, and SIX blocks. In other words, he took a half off and was one assist away from a 4*5.

Sochan was a workhorse, pressuring ball handlers on the perimeter, switching smartly, rolling to help, protecting the rim, great cuts and off ball movement, and disturbing the peace. Team high 8FTAs. Team high 14 boards. Team high 3 O boards. The team's lone double double with 12 points along with 3 assists and a block.

Tried hard to get a poster dunk and each time he does he gets blocked either by the opponent or by the rim. Just too far from it with not enough lift. Reward yourself with a step closer on takeoff.

CP3 took some I'll advised shots early in the clock but them ran the clock well late.

Tre led us with 6 assists.

Better TOs with 13, and good job getting to the FT line with 27FTAs, even if we made 20.

Overall our talent pushed us through but once again we looked brutally sluggish to start and lineups made it way more difficult on the team to succeed than it needed to be. We are moving backwards in maximizing our full team strengths. This is glaring when we continue to lose categories like rebounds , PITP, second chance points even to opponents with heavily depleted lineups. This must change.
