A top 8 pick and getting a solid big later on will be a win in my books. There's a couple more bigs that belong in that second round range but you get the picture. Big two way guards/wings and then rebuild our front court depth.

If we don’t get Cooper I would still be very happy with any one of Dylan, Demin, Kasparas. All three guys can operate in the pick and roll, can create their own shot, have great playmaking ability. These are the type of archetypes that end up becoming stars that take their teams deep in the playoffs in this league. It would be fun to have such a prospect. Ace is a great one too but I worry like most others about his decision making and tunnel vision. But I also think maybe we’re overthinking it and missing out on a clear future star. He’s a freshman putting up almost 18 points a game and has great measurables with athleticism to boot. I feel the same way about Tre Johnson.

As the season progresses we’ll have a clearer understanding of these prospects but at the moment if we don’t get Cooper I’m fine with any one of Dylan, Ace, Kasparas, and Demin.

Whoa, no Edgecombe in the lottery?

I actually came on here to post my ceiling comp for VJ and saw this.

RUSSELL WESTBROOK!!! I can see him getting triple-doubles and dunking on people but having a below average outside shot.

Feels like he's gonna be a star at the next level. Hard to ignore how skilled he is for his age. Once you get past Coop, Harper, Ace he's right into that next tier with Edgecombe, Johnson and a few others

He looks like he'd excel at the combine.

i still can't get pass the fact we were all excited about scoot henderson a few years ago who turned out to be a huge bust

ironically, gradey dick is arguably a top 5 sophomore this year
only brandon miller and victor are clearly ahead of him.

the other two i say in competition with gradey right now is keyonte george (putting up nice numbers on a bad team like Gradey)
and Cason Wallace (his numbers are meh, but he's starting on a very stack team)

VJ basically is in that 9-15 range but he's below average sized and doesn't shoot yet. I love his defensive stats but in today's nba an undersized athlete that can't shoot is almost a liability. If he measures out at at least 6'4 with long arms I would be more inclined to draft him, but if he's 6'3... I like other guys more.

I changed my mind. I'm warming up to Ace Bailey. He got the highest upside.

I was never excited about Scoot as he spent 2 years with the ignite and didn't impress.

I even posted that I would take Cason Wallace over Scoot.

If we stay at our current odds at the end of the season then we’re guaranteed to get one of Cooper, Dylan, Ace, Kasparas, Demin, or Johnson. With 7 percent chance at dropping to 7th, at which point there is Fears who many seem to like in this thread right now. Not bad to be honest.

Flip Harper and Jak and move Queen to 9 and I’m the same.

Hard for me to even want to take a big top 10 unless they’re already elite at something. I like Queen but his defense is poor and he’s already undersized.

Anyone else not liking these odds at a number 1 pick? 14% seems pretty low for a team with our record. And a 54% chance at a top 4 pick so pretty much a coin flip. We can easily drop out of the top 3

George is still pretty bad, but okay for where he went in the draft. There's still potential for a long-time starter.

Dudes here were lobbying for him, JHS and Bufkin.

Saying 'we were all excited' is just blatant disinformation. A number of people here thought Scoot had very high bust potential and didn't have him in their top 5 in what was a very weak draft outside of Wemby.

Not a single GM would take Gradey Dick over Amen Thompson

A re-draft is probably Wemby, Miller, Amen, Coulibaly, Gradey. But there's a number of players that could argue for 5th (Lively, Cason, etc.)

Gradey has made a big leap, though.

Glad you are. In today's nba if is all about buckets. The upside is too high. 6'9 that can score .

What if he's just skinny Cameron Johnson?

Outside of Flagg and Harper if don't get top 2, I'm okay with trading down and getting an additional 1st pick.

Agreed, there's always a Vivek out there who gets enamored with some prospect and wants to draft him higher than projected (i.e. Stauskas). The Raptors could take advantage of that.
