We had our Jimmy run. Was better than any of us thought itd be. However, we have zero assets that teams want and now are sliding back down to the treadmill portion of bball life.

We arent getting any superstars via trade or free agency. We have to draft them, or at least attempt to. Id imagine my sense of optimism would go thru the roof with a legit blue chip prospect on the roster. Right now our best prospects are all complimentary.

We’re basically right back where we were pre Jimmy when we got Winslow. In that draft territory. We need top 5 picks at the very least but question is will Micky do what’s right or continue enjoying the smell of his own farts

Two top 5 picks on this team would inspire some significant positivity I think.

Then you grow and add the best vets to supplement.

Imagine this team with Flagg and Harper. Wed be pissing ourselves at our prospects.

Agreed considering our only prospects for the past decade and a half have been undrafteds or mid 1st/2nd round picks. That’s only counting the picks we had available and didn’t trade away. Imagine the Heat elite development program with several years worth of top 5 picks. Beasley really messed with the Heat’s perspective of top picks

My preferred path at this point :

1) Pat sits down with Jimmy, clear the air - extend on non-max 2-3 year deal.

2) Go at DeAndre Fox with everything we have - All the picks + Jovic + Jamie + Rozier or Duncan. Try to keep Ware. Hope we can get it done.

Fox/Larsson
Herro/Burks
Jimmy/Keshad
Highsmith/
Bam/

Try to find 1 more functional big somewhere and if everything clicks, this team has the talent to go far this year and next.

Remind you the Pelicans are in a need to get salary capspace. That is their main focus especailly if they want to keep Ingram

Miami Heat - CJ McCollum
Brooklyn Nets - Rozier, Love and Richardson
New Orlean Pelicans - Bogdanovic, Melton, Burks and Larsson

There can be more adjustment to that trade like pick compensation etc. The players moved works.

That would give the Heat

PG: McCollum - Chrstopher - Stevens
SG: Herro - Robinson
SF: Butler - Jaquez
PF: Highsmith - Jovic - Johnson
Ce: Adebayo - Ware

The idea is to replace Robinson role in the starting lineup as well a high IQ, clutch ball handler in CJ McCollum.

Could be a nice project for Spo as a 6'4 230 pound PG with a massive wingspan to put along side of Herro if he's the throw in, in any Vucevic deal like the trade that was presented. Also another Klutch client on the cheap lol

this might be unpopular around here but i would trade bam along with jimmy to chicago or the kings and keep ware and herro these guys are the face of the franchise to me. bam and jimmy would be nice pieces in some other teams

its time to rebuild, this team as is is a play in team. which is a disgrace for this once proud franchise

He's a throw in making 2 million. Does it really matter? He's only 24 years old compared to washed J Rich. We've done more with less talent then THT.

Classic Miami Heat reclamation project. 2 million dollar 24 year old with 5 seasons in the league. 6'4 with a 7'1 wingspan 230 pounds. Definitely will take a look as a throw in with Vucevic.

He is not a reclamation player. He was NEVER good. He should played Linebacker in the NFL not NBA

To add a second trade to this deal

Miami Heat - CJ McCollum
Brooklyn Nets - Rozier, Love and Richardson

Maimi Heat - PJ Tucker, Kris Dunn
LA Clippers - Duncan Robinson

PG: McCollum - Dunn - Stevens
SG: Herro - Christopher
SF: Butler - Jaquez
PF: Highsmith - Jovic - Johnson
Ce: Adebayo - Tucker - Ware

You know MWP is disappointed when double posts like this happen.

The 1st round we gave up for Scary Terry Rozier could've had been used for a PF or a defensive wing.

I would ship Butler out. Nobody is bigger than the franchise or the team. Miami has been an absolute model of an organization since Riley’s arrival. We have been to the finals 7 times in the last 18 years.

He’s 35 years old, and is no longer producing like a Max player. He doesn’t do anything with the team, travels by himself, and likes to “troll”. He had not accomplished anything before coming to Miami, and nearly won a title with the Heats guidance and support. Sorry we only surrounded him with the best role player in the NBA (Bam) an all star guard in Herro, a top 5 3pt shooter in Duncan along with vets like Dragic, Lowry, Love, and now Rozier.

I am pretty tired of the anti Heat narrative, I just want to see us get back to playing tough Heat basketball and it seems like Jimmy has drained the team of that. Guys don’t look engaged, and it doesn’t look fun.

The culture in Miami and the trust in the front office and coaching was our biggest asset, not sure who this guy thinks he is to act like he’s prime Kobe or MJ. He can find out the same way Shaq and Wade did in my opinion.

When I recently heard the Heat were allowing Jimmy to do things that never allowed LeBron to do that was enough for me. It’s time for him to go and return the standard to the organization. If you’re going to be selfish and full of drama you better be unbelievable, and the facts are he just isn’t anymore.

We got a guy who’s going all out for this team in Herro right now, and playing some great ball. Herro has been through countless trade rumors and been the subject of a lot of criticism and never once has he wavered on his commitment to the Heat. That’s a guy I’d be willing to give the opportunity to lead to the remained of this season and the next. At least we know he gives a damn, and will show up if he can and play his guts out for the logo. Time to get back to that being the thing that matters here.
