Lakers-Minny-Wizards

Post#1 » by zimpy27 » Sat Dec 28, 2024 9:14 pm

Lakers get Conley
Lakers give Vincent and 3 SRPs

Minny get Val
Minny give Conley and SRP

Wizards get Vincent and 4 SRPs
Wizards give Val

Lakers get a playmaker than can still defend a little, certainly more valuable in playoffs than DLo or Gabe if healtht. This opens them up to try use DLo salary for a big or a wing.

Minny get their backup C. They now turn to Dillingham to get reps to be the starting PG of the team for now and future years. Always have DDV and NAW to step in to help a little.

Wizards get a load more SRPs.

I think we promised Mike we wouldn’t trade him. He expressed interest in not moving his family and took a hair cut to stay. I really don’t think the team would respond well to moving him. But I like the idea.

I don't know what WAS would do with all of these 2nd round picks they're collecting but it would be hard to argue with the value.

I'd wonder if Minny could follow up with a Randle for Dejounte trade.

Dilly isn’t ready to PG2. Mike isn’t PG1 material anymore. We honestly still need Mike as a backup, but we badly need a PG1 who can floor space. After that priority 2 is a C2 who can fill some of the Rudy rim protector role. Obviously whoever he is will be a major downgrade, but Naz isn’t built for playing C and hopefully Randle is traded for the PG1.

I think Dilly is needed to NOP in any Randle/Murray based (three team or not) deal. But maybe the Det first and a second is enough?

Yeah DET25FRP and MIN28swap are available. Plus a couple SRPs.

I could see a Randle and Pelicans reunion happening, especially if they move Zion.

For what it’s worth, I was told privately by a reliable insider that when Mike Conley agreed to an extension with MiN last February, Tim Connelly promised that he wouldn’t trade Mike unless he asked, so that he could finish his career in Minnesota. Mike felt strongly that he didn’t want to move his family again.

Now, who knows? This is the Lakers after all, and the CBA wouldn’t allow a formal “no trade” clause. But it’s a factor to consider in Mike Conley trades.

How about this idea?

Randle and DDV to Wash

Brogdon and Kuz to Minny

Picks and filler added on either side to make it work

Minny gets a cheaper, cost-controlled 4 man to rotate w Naz and Gobert, and w Minny having solid defensive frontcourt pieces already, Kuz can just get you his 15-20 ppg. But Minny also gets a PG upgrade with Brogdon.

Wash gets a 2 guard who can play some D next to Poole, and a look at Randle. Either WAS can extend him, or sign and trade him if he decides to opt out this summer

Divencenzo turns 28 next month. The Wizards don't need any veteran role players. They are trying to tank and acquire star-caliber talent.

The only value Divencenzo has to Washington is what he could be flipped for. And if that's the plan, then find a 3rd team and incorporate that into this deal where the Wizards get back a pick and/or young prospect.

And Randle makes no sense at all in Washington.
