Have to imagine Jaquez starting is a precursor to him getting benched when Jimmy is back. Very hard to find a point of data that support his case. Him and Bam, the two players many of us had some distant hope for coming into the season, has been horrendous.

I Think a Rozier + Ware + Jovic + Jamie + 1 unprotected pick trade offer for Deandre Fox has a chance if Fox really wants to be here. He's expiring after next season.

Your thinking like Pat, unfortunately thats a trade proposal that gets you banned, blacklisted and kills any chance in hell of Fox coming here. That’s negotiating in bad faith. Any trade for Fox will start with Hero, Ware, 4+ picks and us taking on a bad contract.
Fox wants to get paid, everything else is secondary, get the cash first, he wants that super max.

I know this is going to hurt some but Jovic and Jaime as the 27th and 18th picks in their respective drafts and current play what’s the true raw value in trade right now? Jaime as a late 1st and Jovic as a high end second rd pick? I think teams would rather just take a 1st in trade and draft their own guys they scouted if they had a preference. We got the 24th pick in 2022 Josh Christopher for free. Jovic was taken 27th the year after. Maybe we should sign Cristopher off his two way and flip him as a 1st rd pick in trade.

BK won’t be looking to take back salary for Russell so i guess that takes us out of the running for any trade. If he’s bought out we can’t sign him either as we are capped at the 12.5 million rule.

Jaquez has been playing point on offense and pf on defense. So yea when Jimmy comes back he will assume that role.

Any chance for Rozier and 2026 2nd rd pick? Doesn’t seem worth it for them or maybe Duncan and the partial? Probably have to be another 3 second rd pick deal to eat up into there space next year

Like in what world is not having a real C (bc we all finally agree that’s NOT Bam) preventing bam from backing down 6 foot nothing Trey dirty lolipop Young!? In what world is Spo or even riley to blame for him to refuse to look at the basket when the ball is in his hands at the elbow extended to do WHATEVER HE WANTS WITH IT?!

This is who he is. While he’s in a slump for sure and looks worse than usual, the truth is that Bam is not a talented offensive player. It is what it is. Idk what it’s going to take for some to accept it for what it is. Ppl swear I’m the one hard on him when it’s really others pretending he has some untapped potential offensively that invites all the criticism and clowning when he inevitably looks atrocious for plays at a time on that end against minimal defense.

If Bam is still struggling with playing a physical big next to him then i’ll tap out here but for phucks sakes we don’t even try and look for the right fit next to him anymore. Just 6’5 wings who weigh about 200 pounds that are shooting guards on any normal team. Chit most the those guys can’t even score or shoot efficiently next to him either. Haywood Highsmith is awful with the basketball in his hands if it’s not a spot up heave. JJJ has been awful too playing at the 4. Jovic has a good skill set compatible but still remains too soft for a true 4.

THIS! I myself will tap out and admit defeat if they get the right fit next to him AND make him a scoring focal point and he doesn’t produce. Why is the franchise guy who’s getting extended the following summer for 3/150M getting neutered because you traded for Terry Rozier? 22 PPG prior to getting Terry down to 17 after getting Terry, usage I believe went from 28% down to 22%. I’ll tell you why, because we have WAY too money score first mentality players and Terry added to that for our only playmaker was overkill. Lowry always made an effort to get Bam the ball in his spots and even he wasn’t as good at it as Dragic but he at least tried.

Then you have him at 6’9 playing next to much smaller and weaker players, all the banging down low falls on his shoulders, all the rebounding falls on his shoulders, defending opposing bigs all falls on his shoulders (even tho Spo likes to get cute and put our 6’2 PG on them from time to time). Bam has said several times and especially last summer that he wants to play next to a big, he and Ware were hype this summer at the thought of playing next to each other Bam was saying how he finally had his big and all that and Spo just said “nah that’s not happening” and that has somehow resulted in the fanbase saying we play small because that’s what Bam wants to do so he can hide his offense get fuxking real.

People get mad if he has 8 shots in a game, sure sometimes he may be passive when he didn’t need to be but majority of the time he’s playing the exact way Spo wants him playing with this roster. I want to see him as a main scoring focal point for an entire season, I know he can average 24+ given the volume and a playmaker/solid fit next to him in the frontcourt. I see him do it every time guys are out and he’s asked to score more.

There is a reason we don’t play Bam next to Ware and it’s not Ware who is at fault. Bam becomes very marginal as a true PF, but one day people will understand that. If Bam abused matchups against smaller players or effectively spaced the floor that wouldn’t be the case.

In order for Bam to effectively play next to Ware it would have to be Ware who spaced the floor from 3. Bam is a great fit next to a big like Embiid or Jokic. He’s not going to fit alongside a guy like current Ware, or a guys like Gobert or even Heat Whiteside. Bam is in his prime he is what he is. I think everybody hoped that offensive jump was coming but it’s just not in him to be a real 4, he’s a true small ball 5. If you’re going to play him with Ware you need three shooters in the lineup, see early Golden State with Draymond.

I disagree, this is on Spo. He had his most efficient scoring season at PF next to a big and with a good playmaker in Dragic. Bam is working on the 3 and will continue to improve it each season

Untalented offensive players don’t have multiple seasons averaging around 20 as a 3rd option and they don’t put up 25-13-5 averages on 60% shooting when cast as the 1st option

Just mere looking at next year’s books it would be really beneficial to get off Rozier or Duncan’s contract this year. Getting back an expiring opens up the Mid Level and wiggle room to negotiate with Butler. Even if Butler leaves and the expiring we trade for comes off the books or we resign and use for trade.

Without a doubt. Cam instantly becomes the starting 4 for the foreseeable future. I think BK wants that 1st rd pick though and will get it.
