The one thing Brooklyn seems committed to is not taking on salary past this year.

Cam is actually a significantly worse defender than Dame. just to put that into perspective
We have wing defense and a POA, we need a microwave scorer that when the half court offense breaks down and we need a bucket, we can get one. Cam is the perfect super 6 man to bring off the bench and protect a lead or shoot us back into a game. You need to score more points than the other team to win, just to put that into perspective.
I love Jackson Jr continuing to start next to Dame and I’m good with having Trent Jr and Aj Green coming off the bench. I’m not good with Aj Green being depended on in a playoff series and I’d like to have a variety of options there. And I really like Noah Clowney as a stretch 4 to have in the rotation as well just to throw that in there.
Give up 2 bum players and a draft pick 7yrs from now to strengthen our immediate title chances with Dame and Giannis and what’s left of Khris? Yeah, it’s a no brainer for me.
what year do you believe it is?
i think you think we have wing defense and POA defense because it is improved over last season. but last season was atrocious in those respects. love Andre but his defense is only valuable if he's able to stay on the court. after him, it's still kinda yikes.

Lol what does what year it is have to do with anything? Just out of curiosity..
I agree with you for the most part, maybe it is just the illusion that the bar was set so low last year, the jump this year isn’t as grandiose as it seems. Idk. But, I’m using the NBA cup as reference here, this team clearly has that next gear when games become meaningful. What we did to OKC is the model I’m going to go by on why I’m fairly confident our wing defense and POA isn’t any type of major issue. A minor one? Maybe, again Idk.
I don’t think it’s “yikes” necessarily because I really like Jackson Jr and Ryan Rollins in that role. Both are super capable players. But, I don’t trust Aj Green or Trent Jr in a playoff series. I understand your concern.
We still have elite rim protection behind everything and outside of Dame we don’t have a dynamic guard to take pressure off of him. That’s why I’m so enamored with Cam Thomas and think he’s a good fit here regardless of the nay sayers.
When everyone in the playoffs is allowed to play a more physical brand of defense, every NBA player becomes a capable defender with effort. It’s 100x harder to get a bucket in that regard. We struggled with that so bad for how long? You just can’t have enough of those guys.

Bucks need a guy who can handle the ball, playmake, and defend. The only skill Thomas has is hitting mid range jumpers. He'll be shut down versus good defenders.

Would a good defender be matched up on him if he shares the floor with Giannis, Khris, and Dame? Also. He is a good ball handler and 3pt shooter. He is a smarter and slightly younger Jordan Poole.

Versus Boston, yes. Who's he guarding against them?

We shed 7.6M ... not sure who needs to add value here. Bulls though terrible for years do not have draft picks. They have pick swaps like us and their '31 .... so If we have to add or receive value ... pick swap their '31 first
This is a not sexy Khris replacement with Giddey. Lonzo is the filler & Brook for Vuc is the sweetener. Tired of Lillard getting more boards than Brook.
(Checked on fanspo success cause we sent out the biggest contract "Khris")
EDIT
Just checked
Lonzo + Giddey for Khris works
I didn't notice Lonzo is back playing ... I am happy for him and maybe he could become our secondary playmaker and future primary... I would pull the trigger , it is a high risk - high reward move to get Lonzo.
(adding Brook and Vuc makes it more complicated)
Thoughts ?
