I think Kessler/Sexton for an unprotected 26 swap and making 27 unprotected is the only way you get two unprotected draft assets for those 2.

Rui would need to be included and my gut sense is you can get a so-so 1st for him.

If the price is more than that, the Lakers won’t pay it.

Ainge has more of a history of overvaluing players and missing the window to cash out than getting premium packages for non premium players (Mitchell/Gobert are premium players)

We have the supply and you have the demand so we name the price. My trade is fair.

(1) i’m not a Lakers fan (2) demand is driven by multiple buyers not one buyer and (3) I don’t see any team giving up unprotected draft assets for Walker Kessler or Collin Sexton. Based on what DFS and Schroeder went for Sexton’s value is closer to 3 2’s than an unprotected 1.

If Lebron is gone in 26-27 and say AD gets hurt or we just suck....what if that becomes a top 4 pick?

Not sure if we could squeeze Sexton out or not, but even if we could, unsure how valuable he is tbh. He rates out on LEBRON as the worst defender in the nba and a big negative in EPM, so he must be a bad defender at best

Well what if its no Sexton?

Drop the 28 swap.

Demand is driven by scarcity… How is the current supply of available young, starting centers in the league?

The 25 and 26 offseason disagree.

Jazz don’t own those laker picks ?

And that is two offseasons to improve with Kessler where the 27 pick loses value.

Kessler isn’t changing a team lotto odds.

So why trade for him?

To improve the odds in 25.

If Kessler really impacted the lotto odds he would be producing wins in Utah?
