It's funny that they've already wrapped up the season series against the Nets (4-0 sweep).

We missed Black and his career 9.0 PER. Scraped out a win.

also shout out to cleaning up the turnovers at the game went, finishing with a 'normal' 13.

Nets probably didn't have intention to trade so much early on, but they simply win too much. With just 7th worst record ( could be be "worst" from their POV, won some close game) they stand at just 7th worst record and 75% chance at missing top 5 in draft.

Given they didn't draft and hold top 5 pick since Keynon Maritn 25 years ago, they need to get serious about sucking.

Coaching decisions from last night and min distribution tells you a lot about coaching stuff and what they are instructed to do.

Hindsight: it's great Orlando added a 3rd year to his deal!

Boxscore thoughts:

Orlando won the FG% battle and won the game.

The Magic went Mendoza-line with their three ball at 33.3%. A great result for this team.
FT shooting was abysmal at 64%.

In the end the game was decided by FGAs. Orlando was plus-10. And that was not becasue of some weird FTA disparity (teams basically the same there). The FGA differential that decided the game was becasue of DOMINANT offensive rebounding. There the Magic was +7 in differential.

In the end the Magic should have won this comfortably, box-score wise; horrible FT shooting was the reason the game was almost lost. But come playoff-seeding time, this W looks like all the other Ws. Winning at home matters!

Should call this team the Rolling Stones, seeing as they've made about 50 comebacks.

Enjoy watching da Silva play. Solid game in every way.

I do not like coach for his strategy.....

But Mose is at Stan Van Gundy levels of psychology. Maybe even greater.

The team has so much heart, you got to love it.

I thought Cole was mediocre at best overall (his blatant flopping on every single drive is getting unbearable lately and he shot quite poorly) but he didn't commit turnovers which was huge and his usually unreasonable confidence is helpful in last shot situations. TDS and Goga were clearly our best players overall.

Isaac got 2 assists which was downright shocking to me. Harris looked pretty solid. Wendell looked better offensively than he had been lately, hopefully he'll gain some confidence from this, we need him to score more.

I love KCP's defence and vet leadership but he must be something like 4/38 on potential momentum swinging threes this season, feels like every time we need a big 3 from him it's a brick.

I couldn't help but laugh when Ben Simmons had Cole defending him in the low post on a big possession in the fourth and instead of trying to score or at least wait for the double to come before passing he decided to pass it to Sharpe almost right away who had to take a very tough shot with Wendell all over him.

I love Mose...the right guy for the job. I think the offense needs work, primarily personnel, imo, but that persona is so strong, so centered and so good at articulating the message clearly. I also think he's very capable of tough conversations too...that's why Cole and others blame themselves and keep their chins up when they're not performing or playing - it's clear that Mose didn't beat around the bush or duck the confrontation. SAC's firing of Brown (and Malone before) is an example of the opposite type of management and the rest of the league openly trashed them for their cowardice and backstabbing. I know that's an ownership/FO example, but the parallel is similar. This stuff matters in team building, recruitment, and retention of good players. It's not nothing when the other teams' best players come over to hug and chop it up with Mose before games.

I keep missing these epic comebacks because of family in town lol. Sucks to just have to watch the highlights and miss the exhilaration of live.

High IQ !!! TDS is so smart out there, I think it was the Nets game or the night before he made such a beautiful simple yet SMART pass where he drew the double team and just made the right bounce pass between the two defenders. His three point stroke is soft and pure. He’s shown he’s a starter already as a rookie but when Franz comes back that’s a huge asset coming off the bench.

Mosley is a hell of a coach! I could care less about his X’s and O’s we can get someone to help out with that BUT what he has is special and you can’t teach anyone that. Give him another raise after what he’s been able to do already this season. Not sure there are to many other coaches that can do what he’s done this season under the circumstances.. Top 5 coach IMO
