Yeah. One of the worst takes I’ve seen on this board in a long time.

I hope they give great thought to who they actually need to keep around and who they need to move off off
It's a bit early to weigh on Darko yet but Nurse took over one of the most talented rosters in league history in 2018-2019 with arguably the best player in the league at the time in Kawhi and incredible vets/leaders like Lowry, Green, Ibaka and Gasol.
Last year our team won 25 games with Nurse and that was despite having Siakam and OG for the first half of the season.
Our team this year is in a complete rebuild and has been hammered by injuries.

We need a athletic, rim running, defensive anchor at center!!! how many years in a row do I have to say this?

If not for him and his high school coaching we'd be 1st in the east, definitely not cause we are intentionally tanking and a bad team. We should fire him and just get a good coach so we can get another chip.
Put down the egg nog.

trades or players who are not part of the future
IQ he has been injured but I already seen enough from him. there is nothing he does that cant be filled by davion, shead, or walter. at this stage of our rebuild, I would rather a three headed monster at point IQ is not elite at anything.
RJ barrett I listen to one of the podcast today and I heard someone stay the RJ/barnes relationship coexist together it is not symbiotic. RJ offense where he wiggles to the rim is good but it can be shut down easily. if we keep him he is a 6 man with that horrendous defense.
bruce brown is a trade I would rather see battle play.
its time to get something for chris
now lets talk about line ups. ect ect.
barnes, gradey, battle need more playing time together barnes needs to develop the ability to score in a phone booth. we have shooters to space the court.

I just don't know what people expect from this team. At our best, with full health, we are probably a 37 win team. We have been killed by injury and as such our record sucks.
Only one NBA team has played 4 different rookies 300+ minutes: the Toronto Raptors. Two teams have played 3 rookies 300+ minutes: WAS and UTA. If you are forced to play multiple rookies rotation minutes your team is going to suck. And it's not like we are easing off playing vets in order to let rookies play. Barnes, RJ, Poeltl, Dick and Agbaji all play 30+ mpg.
We are playing more rookies than anyone in the NBA and on top of that most of our rookies are 2nd rounders (or even undrafted in Battle's case). Of course our team is going to suck.

IQ is not a future piece, RJ is derozan lite, you can either live with his weaknesses and take him out when his defence is too much to bare or have him come off the bench as a change up.
Tripod wrote:Most know Scottie is not a #1. RJ is not an #1. IQ Is not a #1. Obviously if we draft that #1, then on any given day having any of the 3 above be you #2 is pretty good...but what is even better is one of them is your #4. That's pretty good for your depth at the top.
Then add in Gradey, Yak, Ochai and JKW, then all the sudden those guys being your 5-8 scorers again is pretty good depth.
Let's see if we can draft that real #1 guy or if at some point, we consolidate for upgrades.
But this year was always about development over wins. And yes the past few games have gotten ugly but with injuries and illness going thru the team, these things happen. No need to over react at all. Part of the process.

I highly doubt there's a trade that includes Scottie that would make much sense and while he likely won't be a superstar I still think he could quite easily be a part of a legit core.
lol right? If we trade Barnes then we’re officially a joke of a franchise.
