I would ‘t mind taking a chance on Russell but at this point it doesn’t seem like we have enough for BK to take in a contract that eats into there salary cap next year and they also are not taking in any extra money over what DLO makes. They precisely made the last trade that keeps them 600k below the tax line. They also turned down taking in Konchar’s 3 yr deal for DLo’s straight up expiring.

Lonnie Walker IV is drawing NBA interest and can be bought out of his contract with Lithuania’s BC Žalgiris in the EuroLeague by any NBA team until Feb. 18.

Potential suitors are said to include the 76ers, Timberwolves, Heat, Nuggets and Celtics. Walker, of course, went to training camp with Boston.

BK got draft picks from LA. Memphis was never offering a pick. I do not think BK is looking for cap space. They are selling capspace for picks. BK is likely gonna have to sign players next season to fill up capspace. If no one offers anything for Russell in regards to draft capital. I can see BK having interest in having Rozier expiring contract to sell next season. Miami would be acquiring Russell with the idea of resigning him at a good salary.

That was Sotto response to after the trade. There is another report that stated, that Memphis and BK deal fell apart because Memphis wasnt willing to give up the first round pick

“Rather than protected 1st from Memphis” cmon man it’s right there. BK wanted DLO’s full expiring and 3 seconds instead of a late 1st. They would have budged if unprotected. You seriously think they taking in Rozier for a bullchit 2nd?

Ok we’ll take your word on this. Thanks for the inside information and understanding of the cap.

“The Nets refused that deal in large part because the Grizzlies included John Konchar in the deal, who is under contract through the next two seasons. Lewis is also signed through 2027, although his deal is non-guaranteed and Russell will be a free agent this summer.

By declining a first-round pick and instead opting for financial flexibility moving forward, the Nets have made their next steps very clear: they will try and rebuild as fast as possible.”

They aren't making any trades people. You do this to yourselves every year.

No team is taking Duncan. No team is taking Rozier. Accept it.
