CMon man, that is not a reasoning that is just a response from Stein. Rather

Ok we’ll take your word on this. Thanks for the inside information and understanding of the cap.

“The Nets refused that deal in large part because the Grizzlies included John Konchar in the deal, who is under contract through the next two seasons. Lewis is also signed through 2027, although his deal is non-guaranteed and Russell will be a free agent this summer.

By declining a first-round pick and instead opting for financial flexibility moving forward, the Nets have made their next steps very clear: they will try and rebuild as fast as possible.”

Well stop looking at the trade machine because if this is the universal case the Heat can not make a trade this season unless his name is Jimmy Butler

Every team has a different situations. We were discussing DLo Russell. Likely hood of him coming seems unlikely considering the circumstances of how BK moved in the previous trade valuing it’s cap space over a better pick. We also can’t sign him in the buyout market due to 1st apron rules capping us at 12.5 million.

Now talking about trades we can make. There may be teams out there that are willing to take a 2nd and an expiring trade contract for next year just to get something before that player walks. All depends on there cap situation. I’m scouting out Malcolm Brodgen against the Knicks right now cause the Wiz are a team that could take on Rozier or Duncan just to get the extra 2nd rd pick asset.

Focusing on soon to be free agent vets like Bruce Brown, Brogden, and Ball cause they can possibly be had without over paying and there contracts lineup nicely if what we can offer. They can help us now and then help our books next year when there money comes off.

We could even resign at a much better rate. Trading for a player who was making 20-23 million and possibly signing them back for 10-12 million is a huge difference. Just a hypothetical

My concern there is how likely he is to be out when we need him, we have plenty of that already here with Herro and Butler ect so I guess we could try and just hope for good luck all around on that front. But Brogden has missed a hell of a lot of games due to injury including playing in less than 40 just last year.

When Jimmy returns I think the Heat should explore a Herro-Highsmith-Butler-Jovic-Bam lineup

23.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.9 assists last 10 games

38% from deep and 49% from the field, 62.3% TS

Only 25. Tyler Herro.

Brogdon would be filling the Dru Smith role. Also when trying to get a team to eat an extra year of money (Rozier or Duncan) with just a second rd pick. The player most likely coming back is going to be a gamble with some warts. It’s a boom bust proposition for the price. But this is our market with the limited assets we have. Worst case scenario is the gamble is off the books next year if it don’t work out.

It’s looking like Fox might go at the deadline. Just too much drama going on and Devin Carter is ready to step in. Yes i think Fox will be traded for a healthy pick haul at the deadline to either the Rockets, Spurs, or OKC. Miami only is not going to save us.

Indeed in order to go all in we have to take chances at this point and just sticking with this roster is taking a chance period so might as well. I prefer calling a long shot a long shot and moving forward with a younger timeline and future plans but we don't seem to be capable of that and have kind of already mortgaged the future while somehow not maximizing the present either at the same time and it's just hard to watch anymore. We keep trying this stuff, Lowry, Oladipo, Rozier, notice no bigs of course haha but it just never works and we can't seem to move on because we lost all our picks and pretend like we have enough. At least let Ware start playing 20-25 min and get ready for the playoffs because him making mistakes or not we're still a play-in type team with Butler hardy available and the way we throw away winnable games.

The Magic are a possibility

Sac preference presumably will be to get him to the East

Orlando I believe has all of their picks plus young talent to offer

Single-handedly keeping us afloat while Butler misses half the games and Bam works on recovering his offense.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Fox a pipe dream

I like the idea though of going after and getting both Brogdon and Ball

The skillset is wonderful to watch. Tyler has all the modern day moves, footwork & counters. A lot of work behind the scenes. Has really sharpened up his gm. Has always been a worker.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade
