I think they have a team option with Rozier. The Heat need to off-load Duncan Robinson.

I'd do Brown for Robinson + FRP.

We know Kelly's defense isn't good but he is not getting caved when on the court like some believe

Like think of the last 5 games since Barnes has come back and a few of these games have been whipeouts. Well KO is +2 over the last 5 games.

So for your undersized backup C who isn't good defensively, and had to play some starting minutes, he has won his minutes.

And as a team they are -55 in the last 5 games. Olynyk has been far from perfect but he at least is winning his minutes lately.

As always, it depends on whose pick and what protection. Also, Miami owes firsts in 2025 and 2027 to other teams, so they can't trade their 2026 or 2028 picks at this time, and likely beyond that. I doubt Masai would do that trade when the downstream draft asset would be so far into the future. I'd rather look to Memphis which has all of its picks and tried hard to get Finney Smith, but LA offered all expiring $$$ while Memphis would have had to include some future money.

Brown has plenty of value as long as the other team has contracts to move. Teams know he can be a good rotational piece on a championship winning team.

I expect a 2-1 deal where we waive 1 of the guys and then get possibly 2 2nds.

As trades involving stars like Jimmy Butler and Brandon Ingram loom larger, I expect interest in Brown to only increase as the Raptors have 2025-26 room under the tax line to take back salary. Teams wanting Butler and in particular Ingram will need to offload some future money - to be able to afford an extension for Butler or new contract for BI and stay under the apron rules. That's why I have been touting the Raptors as a third team facilitator in such large trades.

I completely understand you defending IQ and your right hes been out all year but IQ is not injured. I'm not trying to argue I'm just trying to show you a different perspective. That guy can play right now. He's on the sidelines doing celebrations and running and chest bumping guys. He better be healthy because listen man that most recent injury he had a partially torn ligament in his elbow is a very serious injury I've had something similar happen to me. Your not running around on the sidelines clapping and jumping around with your elbow all messed up like that. You can retear it easily if it isn't healed. Its like hanging on by a thread when its sprained like that. And then I mean he had the bruised tailbone and a sprained thumb right? I mean come on. Management is sitting him for extended periods so we can lose games. Im very confident just about every player in the NBA will sprain a finger this year.

Now the only issue I have with this is the other two players they clearly sat out for extended periods Olynyk and Brown are 100% on the block. Barrett and Barnes get hurt and they seem to try and get them back in the lineup asap. So I'm wondering where IQ fits in their plans if they are telling IQ to sit out for a few extra games every time he gets banged up instead of trying to get him in the lineup and see what he can do with added responsibilities. Personally I'm a big fan of IQ, I thought he was the highlight of the OG trade and the perfect running mate for Scottie but we'll see.

He is the type of guy good teams have on the roster because he can do a lot of things in different roles;
The challenge is taking on 20m in salary the other way to move him along.
