Disclaimer: I haven’t watched much of Toppin this year, but Indiana has a clear need at backup C, with Wiseman/Jackson both out.
Obi Toppin for Kelly Olynyk
Both of these guys are basically good for 10 & 4, so this is about fit.
Toronto gets a backup PF who is young enough to be close to their roster core.
Indiana has PF covered between Siakam/Walker, and they get their backup C who can also play spot PF w/ Turner.

I think Indy, and Carlisle, are MUCH more likely/willing to play small and fast, than to play super big. I think they’d rather play Obi at the 4/5, or even eventually a Nesmith at the 4 again (when he returns) as he’s been a great fit for the uptempo Pacers, than play Olynyk/Turner at the 4/5? Value is relatively fine. Probably just a situation of preferring what we know to be a good fit than to make a swap for something that MIGHT be as good of a fit, but much more likely not to be?

Re: TOR-IND: Obi Toppin for Kelly Olynyk
I think this would be felony theft for TOR
For Indy, the only possible motivation is to move off of future money. But on the court, Toppin provides a lot more in rim protection and rebounding, and I think he is currently the better overall player. Also, I don't think Olynyk has shown that he's completely over the back injury that cost him the first third of the season

In a no-win argument, the first poster to Let It Go will at least retain some peace of mind

I'm not convinced Toppin has great trade value on his new deal, but it's significantly better than Olynyk's trade value.
