I want both lol. An impact edge would be awesome to add but probably a lot tougher. Guessing they like their depth at edge but majority of them are just guys, nothing special. Need a game wrecker if Rashan Gary isn't going to take that title.

Corner seems very shallow in depth and talent, and their top guy is always injured. Feels like a major area to fix.

Glad it's an away game at least.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Speaking of Spain, my parents are going to be in Barcelona in a few weeks. Only for a couple days. If you've got any off the grid stuff they might like to see or eat at that they wouldn't find in a tourism guide I would love any recommendations you could throw my way.

That's a wrap...don't think we can overcome this in the playoffs

I don't recall any hidden spots, especially because I've been living in Barcelona for only 1 year (and with a 1-year old baby), so I'd just say the regular touristic locations (Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, Montjuic, Barceloneta, Las Ramblas...) and eat lots of paellas and tapas.

BTW, if they plan to visit Sagrada Familia, buy the tickets in advance (before going to Barcelona), otherwise they might not be able to check it out. Not sure if they will go with a travel agency or by themselves, but public transportation is cheap and ok, however, obviously, watch out with pickpockets.

I am starting to wonder if we shouldn't release him in the next offseason, we can't count on him anymore and he gets paid a lot.

It's an interesting decision because it's basically a wash cap wise releasing him this winter. The advantage would be getting his dead money off sooner. If they wait one more year then they definitely should release him in 26 because that's far less dead money.

That's a wrap? Of course I'd rather have him but come on now.

As for releasing him he's a cap hit of $25.8 million and a dead cap of $19 million, save $6 million. I'd hang onto him one more year and then if he's released or traded the saving is $17 million. Keep him 2 years and his contract is up. They could redo or extend him now but I don't really want to push his contract into his 30's.

It does feel like a death blow to the season I don’t see how the defense has the horses to keep great offenses under 30 points. Our secondary kind of sucks now minus X. Front 4 is average at best. I have a hard time seeing our inconsistent offense being able to keep up in a shootout against elite teams.

Guty has a lot a work to do despite the packers investing premium draft capital into the defense for seemingly decades.

They've used a lot of 1st round picks but it should be noted they didn't use a single day 2 pick on defense from 2019-2023. Hard to build depth on defense with only day 3 picks. Part of the reason our offense is better is they consistently reinforce it even when it isn't a "need"

Draft is probably going to have to do a lot of the heavy lifting in terms of building back up the defense for next season. Free Agency is pretty slim pickings, especially at Edge and Corner.

DJ Reed, Josh Sweat, Dre Greenlaw, and maybe Malcolm Koonce are kind of interesting, but not really needle movers or anybody I'd break the bank for. Baron Browning since moving from LB to DE full-time might have some potential but he's always hurt. Guessing a trade for Crosby or Garrett would be too rich in price for Gutey, but maybe they explore it.

makes sense for you, but I always found it dumb these games are so popular with fans. like if I want to go to Ireland, I'm going to go to the cliffs and not watch bad football. if I'm going to watch a packer game, I'm watching it at lambueau not some neutral field.

(that said, I'll be looking to see if lines up with my work trip to Ireland :) )

Yeah, DJ Reed is on the small side, I don't see GB breaking the bank for him. Max Crosby or Garrett are the big name guys--would love Crosby for draft picks + throw in Van Ness or something. I think trade or draft is more likely to help than free agency this year. That's a reason why Jaire is maybe more likely to be on the team next year than not.

Andrew Van Ginkle made the team and he's no better than Gary. Pass rushing in the NFL isn't in a great spot.
