There is Cam, Luck, Stroud, Roethlisberger, RG3, but did Jayden Daniels just have the greatest rookie season for a QB of all time?

I'm actually surprised more people haven't made the Robert Griffin comparison. Same team, similar statistics, similar team record.

I think that recognition belongs to Greg Cook (the best QB that never was; suffered a career-ending shoulder injury), Otto Graham (best passer rating and won the championship) or Benny Friedman (best QB in his rookie season; 1st team All-Pro).

There are some elderly Bengals fans who still swear Greg Cook is the best Bengals QB ever and he played one season.

2nd year. Dan Marino's 2nd year was pretty crazy though compared where the rest of the league was passing . Maybe the biggest outlier season in NFL history.

Best stats for a rookie is somewhat of a debatable claim. He's right there with Herbert, Stroud and Griffin III I guess. Definitely not head and shoulders above though.

You are not factoring in Jayden's rushing yards and rushing TDs and his overall yards and TDs with his passing stats. It puts him head and shoulders above Nix, Stroud, Herbert, RG3, etc.

On top of that, taking the 2nd worst NFL team last year and carrying them into the playoffs and winning in the playoffs.

RG3 had pretty much the same rushing statistics and team turnaround. Stroud and Herbert had more passing volume. Stroud also had a big team turnaround.
