Fox isn't making All NBA so his money situation doesn't change. He's has full control over where he goes. This is actually better than any of our previous attempts here imo.

I agree, we’re looking for any possible excuse to why we won’t get him, and it’s warranted simply because Pat doesn’t have it in him anymore but Fox has a massive say in where he goes. Idc if the Nets have 79 1st, he doesn’t want to go there so he’s not being traded there and so on

This was all part of Pat's 2026 plan. We knew that was the next viable opportunity. We need to convey this pick this season. If we can get Fox do it.

If Kings are gonna tank now is the time to do it. They have all their picks.

I wonder what they do with Sabonis. He'd look great on the Spurs maybe?

Spurs would be good for Sabonis, he has to play next to someone like Wemby to make up for his non existent defense that gets exposed when the games matter, not that he’s played too many that matter but still. Those empty stats don’t translate when it matters most either but maybe next to Wemby they could

Starts off by correctly disregarding Phoenix based on Mia's dissatisfaction with what the Suns can offer them but then infers that a GS trade would be more feasible without bothering to assess Mia's perspective on what the Warriors could offer them.

Its not a given that Mia has any interest in Kuminga or a pick 6 years down the road.

Don’t they have 3 1sts available to trade?

I might be mixing things up. I thought the Warriors only had 1 pick to trade

From what I’m looking at they own 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029, and 2031 so maybe they can only trade 2 because they don’t have their 2030.

I’m wondering if Kuminga could get shipped out somewhere like Washington for a pick as a young replacement when they trade Kuzma they can try to add to their young core. Or any other similar team

Honestly I wish we'd trade Spo for a first round pick or 2 haha. It's actually possible.

I like Jimmy and find his antics amusing but I'm getting to the point that his talk is cheap and I just want to see him out there consistently being the team leader from the front. He just missed the entire playoffs last year after chilling all throughout the season and then talked. Now he's missing games again and talking. Just play man.

It seems he feels he's not wanted which may be true.

15 years ago, I think Riley would have loved what Butler said, had LeBron, Bosh or Wade gotten hurt and said that he would have loved that, he knew the player still thought they could beat the team they lost to. This old version of Riley seems to be different. The main thing isn't the old main thing (a championship), it's filling up the seats and just competing. Miami was close, they got to the finals TWICE in the last 5 years, the ECF 3 times and instead of going for it, the FO let players walk and that usually came back with a weaker team the next season.

The year Miami got Tucker... he just happened to be the last PF standing in their price range, they let their own starting PF in Finals walk for just 2-3 million more a year, they knew he worked with the team and saved a couple of million dollars to go with someone cheaper and somewhat an unknown how he'd work with Miami.

Riley created this circus when he didn’t trade Butler after not giving him the extension.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

It’s crazy how Pat just continues to get in these death feuds with Star players. Players can’t take the end of year press conference call outs like older players used to. Keep your stuff private now.

Having said that, I really wish we had traded Jimmy after the last finals run. If we trade him now, it’ll be for pennies.

There is no trade out there that would've made this year's team any better. They HAVE to stay as competitive as possible this year so they make the playoffs and convey that pick to OKC.

How about just go talk to the player yourself vs just saying it in public without the other party having any idea it's coming?

That’s what I meant by keeping your stuff private. Keep everything in house. No need to call him out through the media.
