You guys seeing things any differently yet, or do you still think Purdy is top 5?

nobody cares about a billionaires bank account but we care about the salary cap and using 50+ million a pop on a slightly above average QB.
Dude it's simply football. Not like the world ended during the JTO and Shaun Hill years. This core of players had 2 great chances to get a ring but came up short, c'est la vie.

This core could still win a Super Bowl with the right QB in place. Once CMC & Aiyuk regain their forms we are primed to get back to the big game.

if you feel like our window is closed then that's even more reason not to pay Purdy tbh

Agreed. I'd offer our first rounder for McCarthy tbh.
I thought you are smart but now I know you are either trolling or clueless. JJ is a bust from where he was taken, and now he's injured too. The Harbaugh hype to help his Michigan players out seems to work as they even fooled the Vikings to take him so high. I rated him as a 3rd round guy and might reach to take him in the 2nd if very desperate with no other needs. Still, your fancy towards strong armed passers is making you a bad QB evaluator that you are willing to give up a future 1st for a bust? I shouldn't be surprised due to your love for Trey, accusing Kyle of doing him wrong.

What I recommend the 49ers to do is forced Purdy to play out next season under his signed contact to make sure this season is not a fluke but if he holds out, make Dobbs the starter. Cut Mooney as his 7 points in misses cost them the game last night. Wasting more top picks instead of building up their o-line is just plain dumb!

I was being facetious earlier. There may be a chance to retool.

Apparently he left the game because of an issue with his throwing arm elbow. I would not sign him to any deal, even a reduced cost one. Let him play out his contract, and if he performs then we can always franchise him a couple of times.

i'm not gonna die on the JJ McCarthy hill but I liked him at Michigan and as a prospect and I wouldn't mind trading our first to grab him from Minnesota who will most likely be giving Darnold a pretty big contract at this point.

just bringing him in to compete with Purdy would be worth it imo.
