Would Sacramento be interested in acquiring a top scorer like Norm Powell for another, but lesser scorer in DeRozan? Not sure if this is viable due to the same conference issue but it would resolve some issues both teams face.
LAC IN = DeRozan / Lyles
SAC IN = Norm / Tucker
For the Kings, they get Norm who fits their line-up better. Monk can move to the bench and Huerter can start for DDR. Fox and Norm is scary and quite complimenting of each other's skills. Outside shooting will improve greatly as will spacing. Maybe something useful could be gleamed from Tucker, but if not, he expires (same as Lyles). Both are outside threats but not much else. This could help Sac in reliable consistent scoring, but the loss of some frontcourt depth could be a deal-breaker.
For the Clips, getting rid of Tucker and replacing him with a more usable PF in Lyles is the incentive. In addition, DeRozan replaces some of Norms scoring and also opens up playing time for KPJ, Dunn and DJJ when Kawhi returns. DDR, Kawhi and Harden are excellent fits while I feel that Harden and Norm have too many overlapping skills. DDR can also fit better as a wing when Kawhi is out or resting and Lyles can help keep Batum fresh for the playoffs. Doesn't move the needle much but fits better overall.
C = Zubac / Bamba / Jones
PF = DJJ / Lyles / Batum
SF = Kawhi / Mann / Coffey
SG = DeRozan / KPJ / Christie
PG = Harden / Dunn / Bones

Re: Simple LAC / SAC Consolidation Trade
If LAC does this, Sac has to IMO.
Even if Sac wants a third team for Powell. Or better and adds value to move Huerter and keep Powell. Demar was a worth while shot, but it is a bad fit and if he should be moved imo, no matter what you do with Fox/Sabonis..

I think there absolutely needs to be a 3rd team. Norm's a fine player, but just wouldn't be a needed asset here. Losing Lyles isn't great as the Kings need more playable bigs, not less, or switching one for another. What could the Kings expect from Tucker?
Ultimately this needs to be Norm to a 3rd team for wing/PF depth and preferably guys that are defenders.

Re: Simple LAC / SAC Consolidation Trade
Agree that a 3rd team would be ideal. Sac should trade Derozen, and Powell is having a stellar season. But with Fox and Monk already there, the undersized guard quota is full
