Do you think the SUNS should blow it up?

Post#1 » by TeamTragic » Wed Jan 1, 2025 4:36 am

After tonight two games below .500 and paying 200M luxury tax. This has to be worst team in the league.

Not a single player on this team has any heart. Beal is the most injured player I have ever seen and KD looks old.

Booker is just out there going through the motions. Absolutely embarrassing for the league and for their new owner.

Absolutely. There's no way we're going to get out of the hole Ishbia has put us in without trading Durant and Booker and even that's not a guarantee seeing the apron restrictions. And seeing what mess we've gotten ourselves into, teams will be salivating at the chance to pick our bones clean and leave us for dead.

As I said on the Suns forum, Ishbia owns this mess both figuratively and literally. He turned a contender into a treadmill team in the span of two seasons. All while paying the league's highest payroll in the entire league's history.

I was at the game. 11th row - section 105. Beal is beyond cooked. Even before he got injured the man cannot move.

Yep they are based around 3 injury prone scorers and have poor defense, playmaking, toughness etc. Not a winning formula there is only 1 ball after all. They are all wings as well so that makes it even harder to manage. At least if one of them was an allstar big it'd be more balanced. They literally just watched the Nets fail at the same kind of attempt and tried it anyways because it's hard to turn down star power when it is there but it's just not enough with this kind of poor fit. Durant, Harden, Kyrie didn't work, and now of course Durant, Booker, Beal won't either...I'd honestly be surprised if they actually were dominate.

Yes, but they will wait until it is a year too late and minimize the return on their outbound assets and no one besides their owner will be surprised.

That Beal deal is killer and he's so redundant when he actually plays...never should of got him just a massive mistake.

There's no rebuild, we are already all-in, we have no picks, and no positive trade assets to improve the team. The FO made the decision to move everyone to build around Booker, but he's been playing like a glorified role player so far this season, and perhaps that's who he is, a 2nd or 3rd option on a contending team.

KD's scoring is not enough to impact winning.

Beal is out again, dude is washed.

They just rely on their talent to win games, lazy and soft.

I think Booker and Durant would be great to work around with the Beal money spread into 3 and D role players and bigs etc. But Beal just kills you guys because he's just a poor man's Booker who is always hurt and it just takes the ball out of the other better 2 players hands.

Not yet. They should dangle Nurkic and Beal at the deadline and see what they get. Maybe that could kickstart a playoff push again. If that doesn’t work….then yeah might be time to go nuclear and sell Durant and Booker both of whom should easily fetch a wealthy return for the rebuild

They bought high on KD and Beal, and they probably can't even get half that back at this point. They're kinda stuck.

That's a cute notion, unlikely as that is at this point. Yeah, there's still a fair amount of basketball yet to be played, but if this is how things are going to continue for us.. this season is already lost and even the play-in seems like a reach.

No, and they won't either.

They never should have done "it" in the first place, so yes.

You have not been paying attention

Yes they should blow it up. Get whatever picks you can, accept that you are an idiotic front office/owner and start again. It’s not gonna happen though.

Booker to the Rockets gets them all their picks and some young prospects, find a suitor for KD and start over...

The Beal trade was the nail in the coffin for their championship dreams. End of story. You trade for an undersized injury-prone volume shooter with a no trade clause???

These front offices need to be held more accountable
