I didn't see a thread on it. Bryce is headed to Arizona next season, interesting choice. Thoughts?

Mods, lock it if in the wrong place.

He’s not an NBA level prospect, right?

At this stage, he has neither elite size nor elite athleticism, so it feels like it would be a stretch to consider Bryce a NBA prospect.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

He's measured at 6'4. What's considered "elite size" to qualify as a NBA prospect?

Bronny being drafted does not mean he was ever considered an NBA-level prospect.

Are you saying that being a 6'4" wing in the NBA would be looked at as a positive?

when has a nba prospect been drafted that wasnt an nba level prospect, which means this player had no success in the usa high school ranks and was just as terrible as bronny at usc. BronBron changed the game and now anyone who knows anyone ie "bryce" can be drafted

No, I'm asking what qualifies as 'elite size' to be looked as an NBA prospect? If you're 6'4, then that automatically disqualifies one from being a good prospect at all?

It really depends on your skill set. Desmond Bane, 6’4 with a negative wingspan, is an excellent player for Memphis. I do hear that Bryce is a better player than Bronny (not sure how true that is), so we’ll have to see once the new season starts.

James plays for Sierra Canyon in California and has long been on the national radar as a high-major prospect. At 6-foot-4, 190 pounds, both Duquesne and Ohio State offered him early in the process, while Arizona entered the picture later in the process and wooed him on a recent unofficial visit.

If Bryce was a PG prospect, he would be considered to have elite size. I have neither seen or read any indications that Bryce has that type of talent. As a wing, yes, you are already in the hole at 6'4", and if you also lack elite athleticism, you would need to possess some other elite quality to receive consideration. Is Bryce an elite shooter? Elite defender? I'm not saying he cannot work his way to becoming an NBA-level prospect, but at this stage, where physical talent is a huge factor, he's not there.

That's all I was getting to. Nobody was expecting him to already be at an elite level before his freshman year of college, but like you said he definitely has time to develop his game.

And to go back to my original comment, no, he is not currently considered an NBA-level prospect.

People would say that Bryce was going to be the better brother since he’s taller but he hasn’t really developed. Bronny was a way better player than Bryce. Don’t think he’s getting fast tracked to the league.

Safe to say he's a guaranteed late 2nd round pick for the Lakers.
