It's no surprise people will see how the Knicks developed Deuce in the gleague his rookie season with how well he developed but then act like Thibs is a problem with developing TyKo having no self awareness about their couching position...

There is a major difference though.

Kolek is very advanced as a facilitator as a rookie. He just led the nation in assists prior to being drafted.

Deuce's only calling card as a rookie was defense.

Kolek's growth curve is going to be way shorter than Deuce

He needs to let guys play. The starters are good enough to over come mistakes from young players.

Fact of the matter is, this team has a ton of money tied up into the starting 5. Thibs has to develop the rest of the roster.
