A loss on the road against the top seeded WCF team that is on par with Cleveland for the best record in the entire league would hardly be a vibe-killer IMO. A win however would be a big boost. The only true vibe-killer would be like a big blowout loss or something where we are getting dominated which I don't think will happen.
You have enough posts on here to know better
Probably true!
I think Knick fans are still traumatized from the Layden-IT-Dolan-Mills/Perry eras where they sense some regular season losses are the beginning signals of total devastation so they act a bit crazy....

This feels like the game their winning streak comes to an end but please don't have it be a blow out, close loss where we get to argue about little things that could have made the difference is much better than the existential meltdown of blow up the treadmill because of one game.

Beating them on the road would be a massive accomplishment. If we potentially win without Brunson I would be shocked. If we can win on the road against such a formidable team, I would be much more confident we can truly win a title this season. Anyways going to be fun.
To me OKC and Boston are the two teams in the league I'm least confident in regards to a playoff series. Not saying we couldn't potentially beat them with a fully healthy team, but these two teams have the defense and offense in place.
They lost to a inferior Dallas team(compared to what they have this season) and never faced Denver. I doubt they can beat either of those teams so lets not worry about them. Celtics are the biggest issue because they are stylistically bad for us, no other reason
Denver lost two key rotational pieces with KCP and Bruce Brown and never replaced them in a any meaningful way and Murray has become wildly inconsistent. I'd take OKC over them any day of the week.

OKC on the road will be super tough on paper, and especially if Brunson doesn't play. I'll be happy if we can at least keep it a very close and competitive game.

We all know Thibs will go all-out on this game like it's a playoff game. I want to see what Thibs does with the bench. Is he going to keep his 9 man rotation since Shamet is now healthy?

I think Brunson is fine , I bet he'll play. Caruso is out tonight, so maybe we wont have to deal with his pesky azz.

Just realized OKC is playing tomorrow night and will have us on the second night of a back to back. If Brunson is healthy and can play, I could actually see us pulling this one out.
Hopefully the Clippers keep it close tomorrow and don't allow OKC to rest any of their core players.

If Brunson is out then a close game will be an acceptable outcome for me as well....but secretly hoping for something more.

Knicks are 14-1 in the last 15 games KAT played.
I'm starting to think he may be better than Bargnani

Yes its true....
OKC has a tough 5 game stretch ....
At home tonight vs Clippers than Knicks on a back to back.
Celtics @ home
@ Cavs
@Knicks
Big test for them against the best in the east
Celtics have a tough road trip too. @Minny tonight, @Hou tomorrow, @ OKC Sunday and @Denver Tuesday. That's a brutal 4 games in 6 days stretch.
If you take out our 5-6 start when we were clearly acclimating to an entirely new starting lineup the Knicks 19-4 record stacks up with ANYONE in the league including Cavs, Celts and Thunder. The advanced analytics/ stats point diffential. Net offense and defense rating etc. All like right at top.
New reality of Son ship!

I hope Brunson and Deuce are back along with Caruso for OKC. Mitch is still out but I really want to see these 2 teams matchup as close to full strength as possible. These wins over Wizards and Jazz are cool but I need to see how the Knicks compete against tougher competition.

Brunson will def play but McBride will miss a couple weeks. Sitting out against a bad team always feels like load management to me. Especially when the injury kinda comes out of nowhere. Hamstrings are always super tricky. Maybe cuz they thought he could return last night it signals that he could be back sooner but that might be me being optimistic.

This OKC team is going to be real scary when Chet returns.

It should be a rock fight; their offense is good but not great, however their defense is bordering on historically great. They are a much deeper team though, and have 4 good to great perimeter defenders, but we've seen Brunson cook all of them before.
The Bucks beat the brakes off them though, I feel like Precious should play some more in this game with KAT because they're a small team without Chet.

We gotta look at what the Bucks did when they beat OKC in the tourney cup game. Bucks pounded them in the paint and hit timely threes. On the defensive end, they took away the open rim looks for SGA and Williams. Hopefully the other guys are cold from three...
