Ouch...imagine holding up Hart's age of 28 as a negative

Young Sam Rose gets a new lambo and we now have
A roster of seven players under contract for a combined $129,232,268 (130) - Brunson, Barrett, Hart, Randle, Robinson, Donte and Grimes.
IQ resigns at 18-20 brings the payroll to ~$150 the super **** you apron is $190.
For a team without a top 10 player on the roster.
What am I looking at here? Josh Hart played 40 minutes and dropped 23 against Bilal Coulibaly?
Are we celebrating the January title like we did last year? I'm way too old to think beating up on the Magic twice with no NBA players and beating the Wizards twice means jack ****. I appreciate that you younger folks still have hope and have good months.
In case you are wondering we haven't beaten any top 4 team in either conference. Our strength of schedule is dead last.

I'm sure Thibs is saving his best coaching for the playoff push and Josh Hart will survive 40 minutes a game against Bilil and friends.

CAA is the best thing to have ever happened to this organization. I would donate 10% of my salary to CAA if it would keep Leon running this team and stop Dolan from ever interacting again

As a starter playing 40+ mpg he earns his money and then some
Him and OG together might be better than having Randle on the court
I was right, lol

I will concede that it is better than direct Dolan meddling. Dolan is named EC in 2001 and it's been utter failure.

But what in the hell are you talking about? We have two titles and made the finals under Grunfeld (and Checketts) twice. The best thing to have ever happened to this organization is drafting Willis Reed and Walt Frazier. How anyone can think otherwise is bizarre. Or you are 17 years old, in which case I give you a pass.

Reading the takes in this thread about how the team and players could never improve

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical myself but now this is a super bargain bin contract in hindsight.

Same here. While I applauded the Mikal and KAT trades I remember I was sceptical of the Hart trade back then. I know, total misjudgement on my part....turned out to be the biggest steal after the Brunson signing as we only gave up one FRP. Hart today would probably cost 3 FRPs or more.
I personally give not only Hart but also Thibs utmost credit for Hart's development. He is your prototypical Thibs guys and has blossomed here. I don't think he'd have the same career trajectory on any other team or coach. He went from fringe starter or good bench player to close to all-star level without any major changes in his ability or game.
