Why does anyone want Keegan Murray? He actually stinks.

This year. Previously he certainly did not stink. I think it's fair to assume that the Kings after a couple of decent years are reverting back to KANGZ... and that Murray is being drug down with them.

He was a 35% 3FG shooter last year. He's allergic to the FT line. Does not generate assists. Doesn't really play well on defense. Turns 25 this year.
If we're trading Oubre or Caleb Martin for him, sure, I guess. But I wouldn't send anything of high value for him. He's like Kyle Kuzma before going to the Wizards. Shows some promise, but in the end he's just a tank commander when given the reins.

He would never have the reins here. He would be a young 3/D guy who can get out and run with Maxey. But I digress because Sacto won't trade him.

It's all within the context of what we're talking about. Picks for him? I could be talked into it. McCain? Not a chance in hell. Jared is a way more important and valuable player than a 3&D role player (who is currently searching for his 3 ball and defense).

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
How about Nickeil Alexander-Walker as a target?
Not sure if we'd be able to retain him or not in the off-season (TWolves might have a tough time given their financial situation), be he feels like the type of role player that would work well with either Maxey or McCain.
Feels like either him or DDV could be potentially gettable.

I feel like DDV would be a perfect missing piece, but may be redundant once McCain returns

Are you ok moving the 28 LAC 1st for DDV?
Are you ok moving the 26 OKC 1st for NAW?
I think those are the starting points of what it would take, plus roping in WSH or DET as a third to take salary since neither MIN nor PHI can take back more salary in a deal than they send out.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
Keegan is NOT that bad and does have potential to be special but I wouldn't trade McCain for him nor would the King's accept do it anyways.Negrodamus wrote:the_process wrote:Negrodamus wrote:Why does anyone want Keegan Murray? He actually stinks.

If they want both Caleb and Oubre plus srps, no problem. It's about using the buy low sell high formula when making trades.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
Jimmy has apparently now asked out.
I am of two minds here. One: Jimmy > PG so get it done.
Two: how bad does it reflect on the org if they max a guy, and then seven months later trade him?

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
Maxey and James Johnson to SAC
Haliburton to PHI
Fox, KJ Martin, and SAC 1st top 10 protected to IND
Haliburton and McCain would be nice. And getting the ****** ball out of Embiid's hands.

No, not moving that type of asset for DDV
NAW - if they think they can re-sign him, yeah.

Maxey is an untouchable! What is wrong with you fans anyways. I would move Jo before I ever move Maxey cause he is our future!!!

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
Trade 1: George + two 2nds for Butler
Trade 2: Oubre + 2026 1st (lotto protected) for Aldama + LaRavia
Maxey/Lowry/Jackson
C. Martin/McCain/Gordon
Butler/Council/LaRavia
Aldama/Yabusele/K. Martin
Embiid/Drummond/Bona
Trade 2 alone is still sexy too.

Lakers get Fox, Baldwin, and Valanciunas
Sixers get Murray, Hayes, and Hood-Schifino
Kings get McCain, KJM, Hachimura, Reaves, 28 PHI 1st, 29 LAL 1st, 31 LAL 1st
Wizards get Gordon, Vincent, O. Robinson, and 26 OKC 1st
I would do this deal. We get a budding star player who fits a big need and the Maxey timeline and keep the LAC pick.
