OK you put the Bulls as Out for the two picks they don't own so they actually get them. Big deal they have Phillips and Buzelis as young guys needing minutes, Sanogo and Lidell playing in the G League. And a whole bunch of veterans that are either under contract or younger guys nearing extension time. Why would they give up on Jalen Smith to get an ancient PJ Tucker who wouldn't play ahead of anybody and bring in Dwight Powell as the backup center?
I mean, Bulls can still deal LaVine and Vuc in separate deals (although LaVine imo is not that likely before the summer, while Vuc could or should be).
And losing Smith does make Bulls a bit worse too, as a step towards keeping that pick (it may be felt more than it seems, since he is only legit big behind Vucevic).
Yes, he is young, but is an expiring next year and likely not in a long term plan, and one of the 2nds coming back is a really early one, so it has value in a draft like this.
