Dalot hurts my eyes.

Based on some of the cost cutting INEOS has made, United must be hemorrhaging money, otherwise, how do you explain ending charity funding (40K annually) for former players.

Possibly.

I do think that they are ruthlessly following the philosophy that if it doesn't help win games it doesn't need to have money spent on it.

But 40K for a club the size of Manchester United? That's change found under a couch cushion.

How about not extending Ten Hag in the first place? Note to INEOS, when rival fans want you to not only keep but also give your manager a new contract, it's a sign he's not very good.

How about not throwing approximately 200M on transfers this summer when, by all accounts, they were unsure on Ten Hag, hence interviewing other candidates?

How about not hiring a sporting director to then turnaround a few months into the season and fire him?

Yup, their tenure has been a gong show.

I really think the only way out of it is if the Glazers sell. They have been the demise of it and should be banned from owning any other team, like the Tampa Bay Bucs.

I can't explain it. as subsequent replies have pointed out, 40k is a pittance for an entity that size.

I don't know what the hell is going on, and I fear it will get worse before it gets better.

I'm not looking forward to Sunday AT ALL.

Also odd to me that INEOS, who very clearly values every penny, would go for Amorim and his system. By choosing him as the next manager, they will need to turnover nearly the entire roster. The majority of the current players are not suited to his vision.

Most of the players were overpaid rubbish anyway.

Good rumors heating up. Rashford to Milan. Zirksee to Juventus. Antony to Greece and Casimiro to Saudi. Find a spot for Lindelof and Erikson and that will be a heck of a winter.

United looking at Wingbacks and Strikers

We need to move on from Licha. I love the dude but he's been hurt too many times. And Shaw may be good at the LCB position but I don't trust him either.

I just dont think we will have the money. I just spent $200 mil and it still feels like we have the same team as this year. Going to be a few year rebuild. I hope the academy players really step up. If Real and Barcelona can, why cant us.

I am going to chaulk it up to this is the rebuild we have needed for the last 10 years. After Fergie left, we should have done an overhaul instead of continueing to do what Fergie was doing.

Didn’t realize that United was on the verge of bankruptcy.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe believes his decision to cut about 200 more jobs at Manchester United is necessary to help the club avoid going bust, the Guardian understands.

The minority owner is said to feel he has little choice other than to take tough measures after United lost £300m over the past three years, but he is confident that acting now can lead to the club being profitable and highly competitive in two years’ time.

United insiders have said the club would have run out of cash without the $300m (£240m) Ratcliffe injected last year. The final $100m was paid in December and raised his shareholding to 27.7%. It is understood United’s cash reserves would have run dangerously low without that.

Club hasn’t been in the Champions League in awhile but have match ticket and jersey sales fallen off steeply? They were reportedly making over £300 million a year, though they spent a lot on transfers and apparently non-player salaries, like £2 million a year to Sir Alex Ferguson as a club ambassador.

It's a clown show...

You may recall interviewing managers this past summer only to then extend Ten Hag. Naturally, the poor play continued and the club then had to pay, I believe approximately 15M, for sacking Ten Hag. It's one example, but proves how disastrous the decision-making has been since SAF left.

Sancho and Antony transfers along with the contract given to Rashford are others as well.

10 years of bad transfers, high wages, little European football will do it to you.

Along with the Glazers just cashing checks. Change is coming and its hard for everyone but it will finally be good when the Glazers are truely out.

I can accept what Ineos has done except for raising the ticket prices like crazy and probably keeping Ten Hag after FA Cup.

To put Amorim's impact in perspective, Manchester United have scored 14 points in total since his appointment in November.

In contrast, Everton have gained 13 points in 5 games since the appointment of Moyes.

Sorry, but found this amusing.
