Iv been saying the Heat should of traded Butler since he announced he was opting out. But I get it, because teams were more focused on adjusting to the new CBA and probably still in that transition period which may be why its heading to hoping he walks this summer and no trade happens.

He’s getting traded because he’s made it a point of no return situation. Bridges are officially burned. He’ll decide his fate with new team at end of the year. It won’t be us. Agents and team owners around the league will make something happen for a player of Butler’s magnitude. This is Jimmy phucking Butler not some random expiring low salaried player on his last leg.

We will see. But youve been hinting about how big the new CBA was to teams. And teams have been moving very cautiously except for the Suns.

Yes the CBA is nasty for many teams but still won’t stop a trade from happening as long as it makes sense within the apron rules. For Miami’s sake they don’t want to take back Butler’s full 52 million in trade without a good chunk of that being expiring next year. Then they have tradeable expiring’s next year, open picks, and MLE and Bi annual to use.

Will coach Kerr help us? Seems like a goofy trade for them tho. Will they extend him? Why? Hes a great player, but a hard sell for a guy who wants an extension.

If we do that deal with the Warriors we’ll probably be looking for a third team to dish off Looney and Payton too for 2nd rd picks that lowers the tax bill this year while not having to release players due to the roster spots.
