Would you go for Fox or Giannis and give up 5 1sts and some key players or deal for Zion and only give up 2 1sts and some expirings?

Every team in the league should go for Giannis.

Maybe delete him as an option.

And it’s weird to have Fox listed at such an expensive price. Unless Ben Simmons is the key player? IMO if it’s 5 firsts, it’s Brooklyns choice of salaries… And I’m high on Fox.

- Giannis isn't available.
- Fox isn't worth getting if you are starting from nothing.
- Zion is an absolute wildcard

Nets should not be looking to trade for established talent at this point.

If the Nets hit the lottery and land an elite prospect (e.g. Flagg, Harper), then you can go shop for a star. If you could land Giannis and still retain CamJ and Flagg/Harper, then you go for it. I do think the next Nets "big 3" core will be one drafted, one signed and one traded for. I don't believe this will be a multi-year tank.

The only way the Bucks do that is if GA demands a trade.

How about the Nets send 2 #1's Ben Simmons and Call Thomas plus some filler to the Heat for Jimmy Butler?

Just pay him in FA and you save the assets... personally I wouldn't understand starting a reconstruction by paying 35/36 year old Butler + 50 million

I wouldn't sign any star, they paid too much to get their selections back... use them at least for now... I would use the salary space to sign still young players who can be traded for value or be part of the future team...can the Wolves retain NAW/Reid...how much can the Grizzlies pay Aldama? offers a contract to LaRavia...assumes bad money in exchange for assets etc.

Right, plus he wouldn’t demand a trade to Brooklyn right now.

The answer is, if you can get a true superstar that wants to be there, you make the trade and figure it out. Superstars win championships - when was the last NBA Champ who didn’t have a first team All NBA guy on the roster? DeAaron Fox isn’t this level of a player, nor is he likely to become one, imho.

I agree, they might try sending Ben out for some longer contracts and get paid a #1. They've gotten a bunch of 2nds from the Shrooder and DFS trades.

Option 4: The Nets pursuing a big name at this point makes little sense.

They'll probably go the free agent route first. They'll be one of the only teams with real cap space. Then trade some of their 10 million first round picks for additional win now players once they get that taken care of.

I feel like this poll was a self fulfilling prophecy, there's no world where DeAaron had anywhere near the same value as Giannis.

Honestly, I don't want to get into the Fox bidding, he's got to many deep pocketed suitors. He's gonna end up going for more than he's worth, and then whoever gets him needs to extend him in order to make their trade worthwhile. That would be 4yrs, $250mil max deal, and I really just don't think anyone can win with him being a max guy, there's not enough room in the payroll to build everything he needs to thrive.

As for Zion, if he's bargain basement reclamation project, go get him. Otherwise, let someone else pay through the nose to gamble on his health.

I am sorry. I cannot fix it now. Fox might be 3 1sts. I am sorry. I made a mistake. I am human.

As a Nets fans, I just want a full rebuild. I want to start from scratch and draft our own star players, like OKC

Nets should not be making a big move until the draft unless a superstar demands a trade and they get him for a huge bargain.

Nets have the pieces to trade for Fox and Butler right now I think. That's while keep CamJ and Claxton.
