what are the chances of a multi targeted trade involving rozier, jimmy, jacquez and bam. wouldnt that give the heat assets for either rest of the season or next year? even if you have to tank it a little this season...in my view is a lost season anyway even with herro becoming larry bird before our eyes lolMettaWorldPanda wrote:eddieheatfan wrote:get rid of rozier too. guy is inconsistent as a heat player. if i were me, i would send jimmy to spend time with lebron and bronyMettaWorldPanda wrote:Wiggins

It’s not easy to just snap your fingers and dump someone like Rozier. He’ll be dealt next year when he has a good expiring contract to trade.

Every expiring they have to trade are actually solid vet players that would fit in here. Plus you get a very solid role player on Wiggins on top of it. Gotta get Terry out of here though asap because you can’t have 3 non all stars making $20-$30M a piece on the roster

He’s been stamped by UD who’s been around him his entire career. He was voted as the team captain for a reason. He huddles the guys up and chews into them mid game when needed we’ve seen it but ignore it because it’s Bam and agendas, he’s called team meetings after lackluster playoff games and chewed the team out.
The dismissal of Bam by this fanbase is weird as hell considering he always bust his ass, is always available, comes up huge in the biggest moments of the season, will be top 3 or leading every major statistic in Heat history when it’s all said and done, etc. we have a franchise greet on the roster when it’s all said and done and you all just spend 90% of the time **** on the dude, I hope he asks out too and goes somewhere with a competent FO where he’s appreciated.

Stop bunching in the whole fan base. It’s only a few. Bam is clearly the chosen one

The second a young guy on the team has a good game the asinine takes begin. Last year Jaime was “a 25 PPG scorer” now Ware is the culture bearer, next Jovic will be a bigger Luka and so on. I remember Heat fans were trading Bam in favor of Yurt

What I said was Ware to me is the only player on the roster with the demeanor to potentially be able to ever check somebody. Bam is great, but Bam isn’t UD and he is not a guy who is going to hold somebody accountable or step into a fight and protect his teammates. That’s just not Bam. Somebody anybody could have gone at Butler in a timeout when he was clearly throwing it in. Saw UD do it several times, I’ve even seen Mario Chalmers do it to LeBron James.

They can hold onto Terry and trade him with Duncan next year. 45 million in flippable contracts and plenty of cap space

Rozier and possibly Robinson are seen as negative assets this season, next season, especially closer to the deadline they'll be seen as positive assets. Both have been disasters for Miami for the resources it took to get/keep them in Miami, Robinson after being paid well completely fell out of the rotation at one time.

There's something encouraging about getting closure IMO. Time to turn the page and build a unified vision.

Unified vision, maybe publicly it seems that way. Do you think Riley and Spoelstra see anywhere eye to eye on how to build this team? I think that has been the issue for a few years now. Spoelstra wants to go 3pt shooting while Riley still wants toughness and defense and trying to do a hybrid of both is hurting the team in the regular season.

This is why the Warriors are the clear cut heavy favorite right now. They just have the right pieces to make something happen with the expiring’s and solid vet role players. Wiggins sliding into the SF spot making 26 million is good value for what he brings.

Seems you're projecting your own preferred personality/demeanor onto Ware in the absence of him showing much alternative.
Time will tell but that’s my observation from watching him play and carry himself in college, summer league, and this season. If he ends up being good enough for his words to carry some weight I think there is a good chance he will be a leader here.
Was that at Oregon or at Indiana where he appeared to be a leader and culture bearer?
I watched virtually every play of his at Indiana (and am a big Ware fan) and I didn't see that in the slightest. I don't think he was exactly currying much favor during his stint at Oregon.
Dude doesn't really speak at all.

You use the Rozier and Duncan contracts with picks to work out a Fox deal, try to retain the expirings.
Fox/Payton/Dru
Herro/Burks/Pelle
Wiggins/JJJ/Highsmith
Bam/Jovic/Anderson or Keshad
Ware/Looney/Love
Bam and Ware get more 3 point reps to end the year and continue to build on it next summer to become more reliable shooters for next season who are also massive lob threats for Fox

Pretty much--whether the characterization was completely accurate or not, that was how Miami was able to draft him
