WC...there's a limited amount of shots for several guys on our team that can score the ball at a high level...I dont think we have enough shots for Deuce to have the opportunity to break out. I like what I've seen from him so far...whats your definition of a
"Deuce breakout"?

I don't see it that way. He's playing 5 more minutes per game, getting up 2 more shots per game. In the preseason, we were talking about Deuce as a 6th man of the year candidate. Maybe things look different at the end of the year, but I was expecting 12 on 45/40 splits. He started out the year on fire, then had a particularly awful November by those standards.

I see...the point average I dont mind but im with you on the %'s...he may need more games... :D

On paper I honestly think we are better and have way more fire power offensively and we got some guys to throw at SGA but we'll see. Gotta rebound, limit the turnovers, hit our FTs and keep it close on the road. I'll be surprised if it's not a close game with 5 minutes left. I like our chances!

McBride is simply not a scorer or playmaker. He's a catch and shoot defender. He's not going to create offense for himself and for others.

Our bench is supremely weak and our coach has had an 8 man rotation the entire season. We need to get a reinforcement or two by the deadline if we want to have a shot - and that includes some scoring off the bench, not just a shot blocker.

Honestly, I feel like Payne and Deuce should play off one another. I don't know why, I felt like there should be chemistry between the 2 because Payne is good at pulling the D on him to give Deuce those catch and shoot opportunities.

Deuce was great to start the season until he got injured. The injury has slowed him down this season more than anything else IMO. He'll be fine.

I sort of agree. He hasn't been as good as I would like but, no one on the bench is doing much outside of occasionally having a microwave moment here and there. They still aren't scoring much at all off the bench. It's been defense and warm bodies but, somehow we go on runs with them. They must be deferring more and those microwave bursts they have are just timely.

It's a weakness IMO. We need to get the bench to flow somehow. Hopefully it picks up as the season goes along.

Guy on KFS podcast says the Thunder give up the most corner threes in the league. OG and Mikal will have opportunity to hit those shots tonight.

Can’t start tonight slow. Need to show up in the first half. Thunder are good enough burry us in the first half if we don’t come prepared. Thunder are also an elite steals team and we’ve been turning the ball over a lot. Even if we lose, I just don’t want this to turn ugly.

I would love for us to win this game. And we might. But I really think this team is sort of incomplete until we either get Mitch back or trade for that rim protecting big that Thibs defense needs to run at it's optimum level.

So I am not going to be totally heartbroken if we don't win bc I believe this team has another level it can get to. In other words this is not the best version quite yet of what we can be.

We are a little banged up and we are not a complete roster without Mitch/replacement. I still think Precious can hold the fort down while we wait though. I think bench scoring and hitting our 3 at a better clip than recent games are key. We can't come out bricking against these guys. KAT should eat Shart for lunch... :o ...and our wing defense should be solid. Just can't let them pull away early. Play a clean game and we can win.

Our first game against a championship contender since game 1 against the Celtics. Improved quite a bit but still have a long way to go. Would send a real message if we can take one of these two against OKC and end their streak.

Need our 3 pt shooting to show up tonight. It’s taken 5 games off.

All true points JB. Precious being back and now just about fully up to game speed is a help no doubt. First few games he was getting his legs under him. He is a decent rim protector. Probably not really an elite one tho and doesn't have the wingspan of a Mtich or Kessler obviously. We are a pretty strong team right now and could absolutely win this game but getting another elite 5 will bring us up another notch for sure.
